Kaia screams in an exaggerative tone as I part her hair with her pink tail comb. She's been acting like this ever since I started combing her hair.
Mi neva know one likkle girl coulda nasty suh.
This is a normal thing for us though, so most times I just leave her hair alone. Is just dat morewhile she look like she nave nuhbody. Mi not even a lie, if she wasnt going to school I would leave her hair alone and just call it a day.
But I cant do that because she has a dance recital today at school and her dance teacher told me to give her a style that will allow her hair to be out of her face. And so far i've had no luck because she jus a do the most.
"Mama just allow mommy to comb your hair nuh, yuh nuh wah look pretty." I say to her, to how she a gwaan yuh woulda think smaddy did a beat har.
"It hurts mommy." She says wiping her tears with the back of her hand, as she sobbed.
I instantly start to feel sorry for her, because of how much she seems to be in distress. And I dont like it when my baby cries.
"Hush, I promise I'm going to be gentle alright." She begins sniffing and I watch another single tear roll down her cheek.
She dramatic
"Yuh promise mommy." She holds up her pinky finger as she asks the question and I smile.
"Promise." I reply linking my pinky finger with hers.
After awhile I actually finish combing her hair. She did flinch here and there but I eventually got it done. The style I did is simple but because she has alot of hair it took alittle time.
