Yeah, Juyeon was definitely self-aware. And he knew that Younghoon, Chanhee, Eric, and I were also self-aware. That was a... weird conversation, to say the least.

Juyeon stormed up to Chanhee. "So, you really don't care about Changmin, do you?"

"Excuse me?" Chanhee was obviously offended.

"You hurt him on purpose. If you cared about him, you wouldn't have done that to Changmin."

Eric raised an eyebrow. "Um, he can't even control what he does on the stage. Do you do everything on the stage out of free will?"

Juyeon crossed his arms. "I don't try to go against the author because I am fine with my fate. If you really cared that much, you'd be able to control yourself just fine."

I don't think I want to explain what happened next. Let's just say that words were said to both Eric and Chanhee, and Juyeon ended up with a black eye (courtesy of Chanhee).

Haknyeon witnessed Eric gradually getting more and more heartbroken after that conversation. Both in the shadow and on the stage, he watched as the one he liked drifted further and further away.

Finally, the scene happened. Oh, that was the scene that made me angrier than I've ever been.

Chanhee and I were reading the comic with Eric, laughing over something stupid that a character did, when Eric straightened and suddenly disappeared. I flipped to the first empty page I could find. It began to be colored in slowly, words and characters appearing as a scene was formed.

Eric held a single rose in his hands. He held it out to Juyeon.

"I like you."

Juyeon scoffed, grabbing the rose and tearing off each petal until there was only a stem. "Fuck off."

I didn't wait for the scene to end. I shot up and ran off to find Eric, not even waiting for Chanhee. "Why is this goddamn school so big anyways–"

I ran into Juyeon, who gave me a cold glare before walking off. I clenched my fists and went after the main lead, grabbing his arm and socking him across the face. Juyeon fell to the floor, but I wasn't done with him. I continued throwing punches until arms finally dragged me off. I turned to yell at whoever stopped me, but Eric's tear-stained face dissolved my anger completely.

"Don't hurt him. Please, let's just forget about this. It was bound to happen eventually. Please, let's just go."

I sighed, pulling Eric away from the crown. Chanhee was at the end of the hallway with Younghoon. "Okay. I bet that the writer's gonna focus on Changmin and Juyeon, or maybe Younghoon and Changmin. But we are gonna have a sleepover. I'll stay with Younghoon until school's over. You two can go over to my house for now, I'll tell my mom to let you in."

He didn't let Eric leave without giving him a hug. "Text me if you want ice cream or chocolate or anything, I'll get it for you, okay?"

Eric nodded, obviously uncomfortable in the hug. "Chanhee, I can't breathe."

"Good. Suffocate in my love, you little shit."

I'll never let Eric suffer through that again. Ever.
