Blood and pomegranates

Chapter 01

Alessia's POV
I woke up the next morning after Bella did so that way had had free range of the house since she was outside. I sighed and grabbed things for a shower. I turned the water onto the highest temperature so that way it'd warm up faster after Bella.

As it warmed I looked into the mirror. My deep blue eyes stared blankly as I observed myself. I had porcelain skin with curly strawberry-blonde hair that turned a coppery red in colder weather. My 5'6 height was balanced with 117 lbs and was complemented by 32A breasts. I looked like a mini Charlie with Renee's hair and eye color.

Bella was the opposite and looked like a mini Renee with Charlie's hair and eye color. Her chocolate brown hair and eyes contrasted against her alabaster skin tone and her 5'5 height was paired with 119 lbs on her and 32B breasts.

It was shocking that she had bigger breasts than me, because she always wore unflattering clothes and thought that she looked good.

She didn't.

I sighed again and stepped into the shower that was still fairly lukewarm. My pomegranate body wash and ylang ylang and dark plum shampoo filled the air and erased the faint smell of strawberries and vanilla cream with roses. After I finished washing and shaving I stepped out and brushed my teeth and styled my hair before washing my face.

I finished packing my things and looked around my room one last time before turning and leaving.

I passed by Bella's bedroom and rolled my eyes.

I continued to outside where I saw Bella and Renee having a long and tearful goodbye and both Phil's talking. Maria caught sight of me and walked over "Here, let me grab these" she said before taking my suitcases and leaving my duffel/computer bag.

"You have better taste than your sister" Maria commented off handedly before walking away making me look at my sister's bags.

Renee noticed me and walked over "I expect your first paycheck in full next week" she said as she picked at her nails "If there's so much as a penny missing from the check I'll Sue you for theft, am I clear?"

I nodded and watched as she flexed her hand in resistance to slapping me in public "Use your words, bitch" she said through gritted teeth as she glared at me. I crossed my ankles and said "Yes, ma'am" she nodded before leaning forward and giving me a stiff and awkward hug "Remember. Any funny business and I'll submit the paperwork to have you filed as an incapacitated person and have guardianship of you until the day I die" she whispered in my ear before pulling back and fake crying as Maria walked back over followed by the Phils.

"I'm going to miss you so much baby! Don't forget to write and be good for Miss Hill and Mr. Coulson!" Renee faked sobbed while I looked at her deadpanned and walked away.

I got in the SUV and jammed my earbuds into my ears before heading to the airport. When we got on the jet I pulled out my laptop and began tapping away. Phil noticed me and asked "What are you doing?" I glanced at him before reverting my attention to the screen and saying "Talking to a few judges" casually like it was a typical Sunday afternoon. Both agents looked at me baffled before asking "Why?"

"Because I want emancipation" I responded making them frown "Why would you want emancipation? Your parents really seem to care about you" Phil asked making my fingers still. I look at him and bluntly ask "Do you always judge books by their covers?" Then turning my attention back to the screen.

Silence filled the jet and once I received an affirmation that they would grant it I put my laptop away and fiddled with my phone.

I sat back and watched the clouds pass us by as my music played in the background.
