Bookstore Girl

Day 1

My name is Jess, and today is the first day of my new job. I work at my local bookstore, not that big of a deal but it kind of is. I've always loved books, and I know what you're thinking, "A guy who reads books and is totally handsome!? Those exist!? Where can I find one!?" Well ladies you can find one anywhere you just look in a bookstore. Like I am right now lol.                                          "Hello?" A voice says to me, I quickly snap back into reality..wow. She's beautiful. "OH! Hi. sorry, how can I help you today?" " I was wondering if you could help me find a certain book? It's called The Summer I Turned Pretty." She says. " I love that book! Jenny Han's writing is amazing, she really knows how to captivate a reader." I state. "Oh my gosh right! I've loved To All The Boys I Loved Before. I watched The Summer I Turned Pretty series and now I wanna read the book." I was taken aback for a second, not just because of her beauty but because of how excited she looked when I showed interest in Jenny Han. I follow up the conversation by saying, "I haven't watched the show yet, I'm still trying to get through the last book...without crying." She laughed and so did I...But I wasn't joking. "oh right, here let me show you where to find the series." I said. I showed her where all the Jenny Han books were and then we walked back to the cash register. While I was scanning the book I had an idea. I am going to write a little message in the book. I quickly pull out my pen and started writing before she noticed. Once I finished writing I tried not to smile too much. I handed back her book and saw her walk out the doors. "Hopefully she sees what I wrote," I said to myself.
