(Eddie )She's not me part one <3

Story outline This takes place in the upside down you and Eddie fighting off the bats but he says something you don't know if you can forgive in his dazed dying state he was the love of your life but were you his .

In this au Eddie was with Chrissy but was never accused  he went missing too so the press assumed it was double homicide yet to be found but if he was to be found he'd be done for it for sure so that's why he's in hiding.

Angst 

Yn's pov

"Dustin, run!" you yell as you grab the bat from him to relieve him from his risking his life duties. Your heart is beating at an unbelievable rate, like it might burst out of your chest. "Y/n we got this," he snaps back. You put the bat at your hip as you tear him by his neck, so you two are out of Eddie's sight. In hindsight, a bad idea. "Dustin, get the hell out of here. I'll protect Eddie. Go help Max and Lucas." You hug him tightly. As Dustin walks away feeling defeated, he turns around to look at you. You turn to look at him. He takes a deep breath and says, "You're the best big sister. I'm lucky to have you. Please come back to me". Your cheeks start glowing and tears form. It's the nicest your brother has been with you since you started dating his idol. "Don't worry, you'll never get rid of me toothless "you mock because he is still your brother at the end of the day.

You see the back of your brother as he runs out of this hell-hole to face another one, little to your knowledge. When you press your back against the nearest thing you can find, this is not what you signed up for. You let your mind rest for a second, forgetting your boyfriend was fighting for his life because of the sentimental moment you had with your brother. Then it hits you like a brick wall: "AHHH FUCK". You hear Eddie scream in pain without any hesitation. Your feet move before your mind can comprehend the agony in his voice. "Eddie!" you yell, Screw how fast you thought your heart was beating; it skipped a few beats seeing him pinned down while bats devoured your boyfriend alive!" 

You tore the last bat off his chest, squashing the little bastard as a warning. "Eds," you cradle him, hoping to a) keep him coherent and b) keep him from choking on his own blood. He's coughing and he's very pale and losing blood fast. "I didn't run this time right.." he weakly says, with that beautiful smile on his face. You try to hold back tears, but they come too fast *hey hey Munson, we're getting out of here okay. You can't leave Gareth, me, or Dustin" * you gulp *"This is our year you promised " you cry, and he looks up at you, grabbing your hand *Nah, this is your year love......* he reaches up to kiss you lips and then for a moment, he goes quiet, pulse slowing, your mind starts racing. You can't lose him, not like this.

You start pounding on his chest to the rhythm of staying alive, not entirely knowing what to do, trying not to let fear and panic come over you. You lose track of time, then he gets a burst of energy and starts rambling incoherently, but when he starts making sense, you wish you never understood what he just said. I did this for you, my girl. I'm so sorry for leaving you. Sorry for being such a fucking coward. I wish we had more time. * and with that, everything went blank you froze with them words. "Eddie what do you mean " you start hitting his chest repeatedly wanting some answer.

A hand pulled you back off him. It was Steve. *Don't just stand there help him* With the words leaving your bruised lip from biting down too harshly, "Eddie, stay with us You can't leave her not like this man. Not today. Steve's tone is a bit less grim, but he's still doubtful. You run over and wrap his arms around your shoulder, practically carrying his weight out of there.

At the hospital

no one's pov 

Hours have passed and nothing, no updates or anything, you just see blurbs of blue rushing in and out of the doors you dared not enter. You don't know how to feel; your heart's shattered from the thought of losing him, but those words dig into your chest like a blade turning more and more as you replay it. Now the pain has turned to anger and you clench your fists around your hair, ready to start pulling at it and screaming the place down until you are either sedated or physically removed from the hospital . You finally let it cross your lips "his girl " you weakly chuckle. Everyone turns to you confused. You repeat it, letting light sobs out in between.

Gareth gets on the floor and wraps his arms around you. After a few moments of silence seeking peace in his arms, he ruins it by opening his mouth. "You are his girl and always will be." With those words, you snap, pushing him off you with force. "No," you practically scream at him. "I'm not his girl. He was willing to die for her." you spat . "Yn he felt guilty for leaving her." Robin says in a quiet tone, "YN STOP THIS." Dustin says his eyebrows are furrowed and his lips are doing that funny thing yours does when you're enraged." Eddie is on death's door about  to die... and you're  being so jealous and you're really making this about you. He loves her". He mocks her. Steve steps between you two. *Yn go home and rest, you're exhausted*. He pulls you into his chest.

You take a step back all their faces looking at you like this was all your doing your, mind wanted to scream what he actually said but your heart wouldn't allow it. You didn't want anymore pitiful stares you sigh in defeat "I'm sorry Dustin" your hand reaches for him and he smacks it away "I wish it was you instead yn". With that you leave with your head bowed you've screwed everything up by letting it slip.

They all turn to Dustin not knowing how to approach the situation until Max finds the courage to speak "not cool dude she's your sister... we've all been through some traumatic stuff tonight and you turned her away " . Dustin now feeling ashamed ,"I snapped we're kids and Eddie was the only person who got us through being a freshmen in highschool ". "He must have said something to upset her man yn is usually great in these situations" Steve remarked.

Awhile later

The doctor comes out looking relived everyone jumps to their feet screaming question at the poor man who just wants to go home after seeing some messed up stuff. "Yes he's alive no he doesn't want visitors ,only if it's to quote him his sweetheart or the hair". Steve starts walking to the room "right this way sweetheart" he jokes, "I'm the hair". Steve walks to Eddie he's looking pretty rough but not just by his battle wounds there's something going on. "You've had better days Munson", normally Eddie would bounce back with a smart remark just instead his hands run through his hair "I fucked up big time man" he finally let out.
