"What are you doing here?" a familiar voice asks. It is dark, so I can't see much, but I do see a faint red and purple mist all around me. I look down at myself and find a purple glow where my body should be.
"Where is here?" I ask the void. There is a pause, then all of a sudden, the red mist spins around until it takes the form of Wanda. It is no longer dark, and I look down again and see that I have my body too.
"My mind." she responds. "I think. Maybe your mind?"
"I didn't know we could do this!" I exclaim, walking up to her. "Are you asleep as well?"
"Yes. Our dreams must be linked somehow." she says, looking around the space.
"When we entered each other's minds," I say. "I think we may have formed a link. I think we're in a space between our minds." I close my eyes and concentrate. In a puff of purple, my living room from my old house forms itself. I gasp and walk over to my favorite chair, a soft dark violet-colored loveseat.
"Now you try making something!" I giggle, looking up at her. She looks at me skeptically, but then closes her eyes. A TV pops up, mounted on the wall, and starts playing a show apparently called "I Love Lucy"
"Woah, is this your world's version of 'Te Amo Lucia'? I love that show!"
I watch as Wanda slowly makes her way over to the seating area and sits down at the same seat my mother loved: a lighter purple leather club chair.
"Those things you showed us, were they real?" she asks after watching the show for a few minutes.
"My memories? Yeah, they're one hundred percent real."
"So that is why you called those children by my and my brother's names. Because they were us."
I nod and look away.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel sad." she says, light concern etching in her voice. I shake my head and give her a small smile.
"Do you think Pietro could access this place? He has powers here too, does he not?"
"He does. But I do not know if he could. He is not sleeping now. We sleep in shifts."
"Well, when you wake up, tell him about this. I want to see if he can do it too. It would be cool to be all in the same place again." I trail off, looking at Wanda.
"I know that you're not the same Wanda and Pietro from my world, but I still can't help but feel like we're destined to be friends." I admit to her.
"Friends?" she asks incredulously, raising her voice. "How can we be friends when you are working for the Avengers? For Tony Stark? You may have freed us from the Scepter, but that doesn't not mean that you get to dictate what we do! You don't know what we've been through, at the hands of-"
"But I do!" I interrupt her. "Herr Strucker took me too. Kidnaped me off the street, pretending like he was going to help me. Then he locked me up and experimented on me as he did to you and Pietro."
She pauses, her eyes lighting up in recognition.
"You're the purple boy. The one he said was like me."
"Yeah, that's me."
Her face softens and she gives me a small smile. She opens her mouth like she is about to say something, but in a flash of red, she disappears. She must have been woken up.
