As he gazes into those pair of blue sky and that bright dazzling smile, Neji had never felt so jealous toward Lady Hinata right now. He wishes that he was born with everything the heiress of Hyuga has so that he could give the boy in front of him a proper family.

The child everyone once regarded as a monster had grown up to be Neji's beacon of light, guiding him through the dark veil of hatred of the past while also carrying some of his own.

The boy always manages to capture everyone's attention wherever he goes. Always full of idealistic dreams and the burning will of fire that Neji thinks he would never have.

Yet, there is a glint of sadness in his eyes, despite usual smile that blinds the sun. The longing looks toward every group of family that passes by him. The desperation for a place to call home.

And Neji craves.

He wants to protect him. He wants to erase that sadness from those blue skies. He wants to save him as much as he had saved everyone else. He wants to give him a proper family.

He wants........ to love him.

(But you can't)

(But he can't)

"So this is him? The oh so famous Black Crane?" A voice whispers

"Yeah?! He looks exactly like those rare pictures from the newspapers." A lighter voice whispers back, feet stepping closer to take a better look.

"Man, the New World is really weird. One minute we have corny rain, the next minute we have a newly promoted Vice Admiral on our ship! Unconscious and chained." The older voice clicks his tongue and heaves a long sigh. He wants vacation dammit! He should probably bribe Pops with some wine to change the course of Moby Dick to a spring island (though Marco would have his head for sure).

"Pssst, quiet down will ya. Do you want to get caught by Marco?" the other voice hisses. "Sea knows what punishment he would give us for sneaking in like this?!"

"Oh, don't worry. I can answer that question for you guys, yoi." Another voice chuckles darkly behind them, revealing the holiest blue chicken of the gang, the fiery mother hen of the family and the top pineapple of punishment idealist.

Thatch only manages to let out a yelp before he is caught by the talons of the Phoenix and takes a beautiful parabola turn to the sea.

Haruta is no better. Even when sacrificing Thatch as bait, he is only able to take 10 steps away from the crime scene and down to play with some sea kings himself.

"Let those idiots stay there for half an hour. No one is allowed to help them unless you want to share the same fate." Half lit lazy eyes glance toward people who couldn't fight against curiosity, sending a cold shiver down their spines.

Marco throws a rope down so that they won't be completely left behind and proceeds toward the medical ward. He turns to Jozu and Izo nearby. "Make sure that they won't die." The two nod, innerly relieved that they know better and didn't join Thatch and Haruta on their little mission.

The First Mate walks into the hall, chugging down the cup of black coffee that he is holding. The moment he steps into the medical room, the sight of beautifully milky lavender greets him. A pair of ebony orbs return the gesture.

"Welcome to the Moby Dick -yoi, Black Crane."

And Marco smirks.
