That rotten decaying smell that everyone could smell, i couldnt. Well probably i am a mortal thats why. Gosh i am glad i cant smell it.
Beck laughed at my idea of saying that the smell is a booby trap but James cut him short "It could be a booby trap Beck, you have no idea how this forest is" James educated. "you just got schooooled" i teased Beck. "Caroline!" Sam stopped me and i shut up.
"How come you dont know all the booby traps?" Beck asked James. "Thats because i didnt walk, i climbed from tree to tree to get here, thats why it took me time to find an almost outside" he schooled Beck again. I loved James already. I loved him because 1. He is Ariana's brother and 2. because he hates Beck too.
Ignoring the smell we kept on walking but really carefully. "ahhhhhhhhhh" we heard Lucas's voice. All of us turned around to look at Lucas. He was fallen into sucky mud and was burning. "Vervaine mud" Beck muttered.
"How are we going to get him out?" Ariana asked. "i'll go" i volunteered. "no way its too dangerous" Sam warned. "None of you can go, it has vervaine in it. Only Jules and I can go in it. Who knows it might have wolfsbane too so relax." i answered. "Let us go Sam" Jules tried persuading him and he finally agreed.
"Jules get a long stick and stand outside, I'll get into the mud and push Lucas out from the back and you try and help him stand up okay?" i commanded. Jules nodded and told Beck to break a branch from one of the trees for her.
"ahhhhh hurry" Lucas shouted. "relax lucas, we're coming. Just try not to think of the vervaine. Put your humanity for 90% to a 100% it probably wont hurt that much." Jules said. I tied my hair up and jumped into the sucky mud. It didnt suck me down, it was only sucking Lucas. "guys, immortal mud here" i shouted. No one except for Tyler understood what i said so he laughed.
"Ready" Jules shouted. I gave Lucas a big push from under him and Jules pulled him out of the mud. Lucas was weak. He had been in the immortal mud for over 30 minutes. He was completely drained out.
"Lucas is weak and its getting dark, we cannot walk anymore right now" James suggested "Thankyou captain obvious" Beck said trying to put James down. James being the good person just smiled.
"how do we make him stronger?" i asked. "he needs blood" Sam told me "when a vampire is vervained, the only thing that can get him back to normal is blood" "well then im giving him my blood" i said "no, i cant" Lucas said, just wait for me to get better.
"We dont have time to wait Lucas, we need to leave here by dawn and its already 12am so let me help you, please" i requested and put my wrist in LUcas's mouth by force. His fangs created little holes in my wrist and dug deep in. It hurt but anything for Sam's people. "Thankyou" Lucas thanked me. "not a p" i said winking at him.
"Till we wait for Lucas to get a bit better, why dont you go with Sam and change your clothes Caroline, youre all muddy" Tyler suggested. "yeah cool" i said. "wait, i'll go with her, you stay here Sam" Tori said. Sam agreed
Tori took me to a little place behind a huge tree where i could change. I changed into a new pair of bue skinnys, a black vest top and a blue hoodie. Just before i was about to turn Tori held my neck against the tree
"haaa" i choked in shock. "I hate you bitch, i hate you, because of you my parents are in that cave" Tori shouted. "why is it because of me?" i asked as she left me. "this whole thing is because of you, youre the cause of all this. the cave and everything else!. and if youre not careful i'll kill you" she threatened. "footsteps" she said "lets go"
what the heck? Did Tori just threaten to kill me? and why did she tell me i am the cause of all this. There is something going on here which i dont know and no one has told me. I need to find out.
"youre clean, now i can kiss you" Sam said smiling. He leaned in and kissed me, i kissed back and stuck a tongue out at Beck for no reason at all. "Sam can i talk to you alone?" I asked "and guys please no overhearing" everyone agreed.
I took Sam to the side "Baby, tori told me i am the cause of all this, is it true?" i asked him. "youre not the cause of this babe" he said "then why did she say that? i demand an answer" "okay fine i'll tell you, when you were born 15years back, you were born with a curse. The lady your dad had an affair with?she did vudoo, Bree, and she put a curse on you that every immortal being you meet will be cursed into the cave and they have to cast a spell connecting you to break it" he explained. "what!" i exclaimed
I was the root of this problem gosh i hate myself so much right now, "baby just cast the spell okay?" i told sam "yeah but u need to transition into a hybrid for that and i am not going to let you go through that pain Caroline" he protected me "you will do what i want, to keep me happy and to keep everyone safe, promise?" i asked stefan to promise me and he did.
We both went back to our group. "She knows, thankyou Tori" Sam said giving Tori a deathly glare. "TOri!" Tyler exclaimed. "You're so annoying why did you tell her?" "because i hate her" tori said
"Its okay Tyler. lets just go guys, James lead us again please".....
James then walked us through another 3 to 4 miles of woods and woods. Suddenly i stopped! "Caroline whats wrong?" Ariana turned and asked me. "I see something" I said "look" i pointed to an old building to our right. It looked from the 1800s and it was weird because it kind of reminded me of something which i couldnt remember.
"Whats that James?" Sam asked "I dont know, ive never seen it before" James looked completely confused.
"Woah, the smart one doesnt know what it is" Beck said.
