"Speaking" 'Thinking'

"I'm sorry ma'am, but it is within mine and multiple other doctors' beliefs that your daughter isn't fully... there..." The doctor told the woman. Other doctors nodded along with Doctor Hato. The doctor that was originally in the room with the girl watched her every expression, her every movement. It was like she was expecting this.

"Are you telling me that my daughter is insane!?" The woman shouted at the doctor. "That's..., that's not possible..." Her mother spoke, she glanced back at her daughter. Some of the things she'd spoken of. They truly didn't make sense some times. Like she'd known something, or maybe that's just what it sounded like. Maybe she wasn't fully there like the doctor told her. At the realization that she might have been believing her daughter and making her illness worse, she nearly had a mental breakdown.

"I believe that it would be within your best interest to place your daughter under the care of a hospital. She could get the help she disserves there." Dr. Hato told the woman. Her mother didn't want to believe any of this. But the aloof look that her daughter always wore, it was so different from the happy expressions she'd always wear upon her face. Something truly had to be wrong.

The woman ultimately agreed with the man. The doctor that listened in on the conversation held many different feelings at the moment. The talk they'd had earlier, she knew everything, she knew exactly what would happen. She wanted to be placed into a hospital..., But why.

A few moments went by, Y/n's mother went into an office with the doctor's, leaving both the original doctor, and Y/n alone together.

"..., What is your name?" Y/n asked the man. That knowing gaze of hers etched into his very being.

"..., You can call me Dr. Yuri..." The man told her. Y/n smiled at the man.

"Thank you..., for trying to help me Dr. Yuri-san. But this is something that has to happen. If you want..., you can always come and visit me." Y/n told the man. She really did know. She knew everything. "I don't believe that your visits will cause a rift. But, if you're there, maybe I won't be so lonely." Y/n told the man as she placed a gentle hand on his.

The doctor looked at the hand for a moment, realization instantly hit. She was too pale. It'd only been a while since she'd started the talk of being sick. Since she'd been held from ever going outside. She shouldn't be this pale.

"Shhhh" Y/n told the man as she placed a hand up to her mouth in a quieting motion.

"You can't tell them. If you do..." Y/n placed a hand on the man's cheek. He'd only just met the girl. Yet that simple meeting, a meeting that should have never taken place to begin with.

"If you tell anyone, I won't be able to go where I'm meant to be." Y/n told him. She locked eyes with the man. For a moment, the girl's eyes held a sadness like no other. A feeling that sat in the man's stomach for far too long as he looked into her dull green eyes.

"Dr. Yuri-san. I meant what I said earlier. Though I can't allow you to do anymore testing on me, I truly wouldn't mind if you came to visit form time to time." Y/n told him as she smiled brightly at the man.

He could barely hold his tears back. This was a child, he's supposed to help them, but here he is, he can't do anything. He's stuck in this position, not being able to help someone who desperately needs it. She really is sick, but because of him not noticing this earlier...

"Dr. Yuri-san..., The first symptom... Was paling eyes." Y/n told him in a whispering manner. As soon as she'd told him this, she hopped out of her spot and ran towards the door that began to open. The man sat in silence. Paling eyes. That didn't make sense, what kind of illness could change a patient's eye color so drastically.

- ~Y/n's Journal~ -

I met a very nice doctor today. He wanted to help me. I figured he'd be someone nice to talk to every once in a while at the mental institute. I wonder if he ever really could discover what is wrong with me?

Oh well, there's no point in wondering something like that. My fate is to die and advance discoveries on more illnesses like my own..., but..., Dr. Yuri-san sure was nice...
