So many times ago she tried to get free and stay away. She was never able to though. She tried and tried and tried, but she couldn't because of him. The one person that had loved her even though she was the way she is. This is her story.
Talia had been walking by herself one day when she came across someone. She had no idea who it was. She reached back and pulled out an arrow and notched it in her bow. She walked up slowly.
"Who are you? Make any sudden or rash movement ,I'll put an arrow through your head." Talia said.
The man stood up and turned around slowly. Even though he turned around Talia didn't lower her bow. She definitely didn't trust any one.
"Killi. I am here on behalf of my father. To ask our best warrior to come back. Back home to her people the elves." He says.
"Your not welcome here. You must leave before they find you here. If they find you here they will surely kill you. You must go." Talia says.
"Not until you come home. Come home to your people. We need you back." He says.
Before she could answer, a scream pierced the air.
"We must help those people. They may be in trouble." He says.
"Those aren't people. We must go now. Follow me, stay light on your feet and don't stop." Talia says.
"Who or what are they?" He asks.
"They are the Rougaroe. We must hurry." Talia said.
"What if they kill us. What will happen." Killi says, with a worried look on his face.
"They won't kill me. They wouldn't even dream of it." Talia says.
"Why won't they kill you? We are the same kind." He says.
"I don't have time for this. Follow me if you want to live. If you don't want to then stay here I could really care less." Talia says.
Talia put her arrow back in her quiver and took off down the river side path. Killi didn't know what to do, but he knew his best chance of living was to follow Talia down the river. So he took off after her. She was a good ways ahead of him. Once he had caught up to her she jumped across the river. He followed after not wanting to be a Rougaroe snack. Something flew by their heads. Talia looked and saw that it was an arrow.
They came up on a tunnel. Killi didn't like the looks of it, but where else would they go. Talia took off down the tunnel with Killi right on her heels. Another arrow flew by, this one just barley nicked Killi's shoulder. They had went far enough down the tunnel so they would be safe, but Talia kept walking. Killi just kept following he knew for some reason that he could trust Talia.
She finally came to a stop. He didn't know why she had stopped until he looked beyond her. It was a home and a very nice one at that.
"Where are we?" Killi asked.
"Where do you think. This is my home. Don't tell any one about this place once you return back to your life." Talia said.
"Why did you never come back from the war. They had said that you died in battle, but you didn't, so what happened?" Killi asked.
"I don't like to talk about it. Oh, you got nicked. Let me help you. Here sit down." Talia says.
Killi sat down in a chair that she had pulled out. He would have never guessed that it was there because it look like the earth it's self. Talia walked back over with a bowl of water and a rag.
"You need to take your shirt off so I can clean an and bandage the wound." Talia says.
Killi slowly took off his shirt so she could bind the wound. Talia place the rag on his shoulder. He hissed in pain.
"What is that stuff. It stings." Killi asked.
"All it is, is herbs and water. I wouldn't think that it would hurt that bad."She says.
"Don't worry about it. It is nothing that I can't handle." He says.
"Ok all done. It should heal in a few days." She says.
Talia takes the bowl and walks over to the counter. She pulls her hair off to the side. Killi saw a small glimpse of something on her shoulder.
"What's that on your shoulder?" He asked her.
"It's nothing just an old battle scar. Nothing more nothing less." She says.
"If that's ok that you say, but what are the others?" He asks.
"They are nothing to concern yourself with. So please don't ask again. I told you I don't like talking about it. Get some sleep, you will need your strength to travel back tomorrow. I will keep watch throughout the night. There is a bed room down the hall and to the right. You may stay there tonight." Talia says.
It was close to midnight when Talia heard a scream. She ran back down the tunnel. She ran to the room Killi was staying in. She saw him laying there withering in pain. She ran over and took a second look a the wound. It was becoming black around the scrape. Something that she had not noticed I the first place. The arrow had been laced with
poison. There was only one thing she could do and that was to heal him.
She hadn't healed any one in a really long time. Every time they would heal their own kind the would be linked. What happens to one person happens to the other. She placed her hands over the wound and concentrated. When she look back down the wound was completely healed.
"Why did you do that?" Killi asked.
"Just because I'm not coming back doesn't mean I'm going to let you die. I don't think that your father would be very happy if I just let you die. You don't have to thank me. Just go back to sleep." Talia says walking out of the room
