-- Flash Back -- Five years ago
Talia heard a plink on her door. She got up making sure her night gown was pulled down. She walked over to the balcony doors. She opened them and walked to the edge. She looked down and saw Lincoln standing below her.
"I'm coming up watch out." He says.
"Your going to get us in trouble. Go back to bed. I'll see you in the morning." Talia says.
"Stand back. I'm coming up." Lincoln said.
"No!" She says giggling.
Lincoln started climbing up the vines that was covering the stone below her balcony. She just kept giggling, while watching him climb up. He finally made it up to the top of the balcony.
"Talia I have something to ask you." Lincoln says.
"What now. We're going to get caught and my father won't be very happy with you and me." Talia says.
"Talia, you mean the world to me. No one could ever mean more to me than you. We have been through thick and thin. You are the light of my world, my sun, my moon, and my stars. So will you Talia............"
--end of flashback--
Talia snapped out of her thoughts as she heard her father yelling her name.
"I'm coming father." She shouts.
Talia gets up from wether she was sitting on the balcony and walked back down into the hall. She was wearing a long scarlet red dress. It always got not her nerves because the sleeves were always in her way.
She made her way to the dinning hall. She took her place next to her father. Every seat was taken expect for the one next to her which was to always stay empty because no one belonged there. Her father stood up.
"I'm proud to welcome home my daughter. She has finally come home after so long and we feast in her honor tonight." He says.
He takes his place and every one starts to eat. It was so nice for her to see all her people enjoying themselves, but she couldn't bring herself to feel at home. Every thing seemed off becuase he wasn't there with her.
"If you'll excuse me." Talia says, slowly standing up.
Everyone looked at her as she walked away from the table. She couldn't bring herself to sit there knowing the he would never sit next to her once again. She slowly walked dow the stairs and toward the catacombs.
She just needed some time to think. It was strange being back home after she had lived in the woods be herself for that long.
Bang, bang
Talia's head spun around looking for the place where the noise came from. She spotted a shadow dash through the light. She slowly followed, the warrior in her needed to know more. She turned the corner, nothing was there.
Bang, bang
There it was again. Before Talia could move a hand clamped down on her mouth keeping her from screaming.
"I told you never to come back. Now your going to pay for it." A voice said from behind her.
She smelt a sweet, thick smell enter her noise. Before she knew it the whole world went black.
