Augustine's POV:
It's the weekend and my parents are thrilled to learn Alyssa is Damon's mate. I am so so so very happy for them except the fact they are ALWAYS together.
Whatever. That's fine.
On top of their lovey dovey barf, Mother has not so subtlety hinted at the fact that I don't have a mate. Goddess she'd think I never thought of that.
My wolf whimpers. Don't worry girl we'll find them.
"I mean you're not getting any younger." She mentions...again.
"I'm 18." I respond bored and quite tired. I have been having the same dream over and over again. The yellow eyes ingrained in my head.
"Almost 19" she mumbled.
"I literally turned 18, the first of August"
I groan loudly into my arms"Why are you being so dramatic darling? I'm only kidding." She laughs shortly.
"Sure you are." I grumble.
"Oh, leave my daughter alone Lorraine, she is probably Steve's son's mate. He's turning 18 in October. You won't be waiting long Augustine." My father pipes in.
"How sure are you that it's a guy?" I counter act.
With widened eyes they look at each other. "I wonder if it's Abbot's kid, Danny." Mother says. They love ignoring me.
"Why are you guys only thinking of my mate? I am qualified in so many parts of this pack, why do I need a mate for you to be proud of me?" I demand. My emotions have been heightened this week.
My parents look at me in shock as I get up and leave the table. Damon and Alyssa were somewhere on their own and I was stuck with them.
"Goddess, why am I still living in this stupid house?" I groan. I am almost done renovating my dream house on the edge of the pack boarder. It just needs a couple more things and it will be ready.
I look at the time and see it's my shift for the pups club. Something I founded about two years ago when my little cousin was talking about how bored she was and wanted to make friends. I basically get a bunch of kids from the pack and play a baseball game or training or just something to get them active. It also gets me away from my mother.
I meet them all at the baseball field with the equipment. All of them smile up at me and I start handing out bats.
"Okay, Colton pick your team and then Samantha you pick yours." I yell out.
We all start playing and I'm the umpire. These kids are naturals.
We play for hours until I get this chill running up my spine.
It's happening.
'Lilia, what's happening.'
'The something we talked about.'
'Not the time to be vague!'
"Kids come to the dugout! Team meeting!" I yell out.
"August!" Damon shouts. I get everyone in the dugout and run over to Damon.
"A rogue crossed the boarder, I'll be back. You know how to protect yourself so just watch the pups." My brothers strong alpha voice echos to me.
"Aye, Aye, Captain!" I salute my brother. He rolls his eyes.
"Don't do anything stupid." He said. That feeling in my body rolled through me again. That odd sensation.
"Never." I smirked.
