Augustine's POV:

My heart is glowing. My wolf is purring in complete contentment. His lips linger and his scent is stronger than ever.

"That was amazing." I laugh. His soft lips press on my neck as he takes in my scent.

"Incredible." He mumbled. He must be exhausted.

"You should go to sleep, you must be tired." I tell him. I got a small 'mhm' before he fully wipes out on my shoulder.

I laugh lowly and position him on the pillow. I swiftly turn out all my lights, blow out my candles, and turn on my box fan. I slip back into my bed that's now mostly taken over by a large male.

I guess we'll get a bigger bed in the new house. My wolf purrs at the thought of our own home. Laying my head against the pillow I sigh. His face smushed together. He looks so peaceful.

I big arm wraps are pins my waist and Malachi pulls me into him, still fast asleep.

I snuggle into him further. Sleep pulls me in and the last thing I feel his his grip on my waist, reassurance that he will never let me go. And a reminder of his hands on my chest. He put me in a damn spell.

I wake up to him talking.

"No, please don't leave. Please." Malachi whimpers.

"Malachi. Malachi!" I shake his gently. "Hey, it's okay. I'm right here. Wake up!" I yell.

He gasps and sits up. His shirt missing, I'm guessing he consciously took it off in his sleep, and his hard breathing makes the muscles contract on his back. Tattoos litter his back.

I focus on the scars decorating his back as well. I gently put my hand on his back as he keeps breathing hard. As soon as our skin touched sparks shoot through me. He swiftly turns around and grabs my wrist. I gasp at him and pull my eyebrows in question. I look deeply in his eyes seeing that they are glowing ice blue.

"Kai, it's okay I'm here, it was just a dream." I say as I get closer. Soon his eyes stop glowing and he loses a his grip. His deep grey eyes return.

He pulls me into him and breathes in my scent. His nose in the crook of my neck.

"Kai?" He questions.

"I like nicknames." I softly say as I scratch his fluffy hair. I trail my other hand on his back trying to soothe him.

"I like it." He confirms. Silence consumes us. Nothing but our breathing.

"Want to talk about it?" I ask hesitantly.

"I dreamt that I lost you." He states. "I am not only cursed with eternal life alone, but with nightmares specific to my weaknesses and worst fears." My heart breaks.

"Im so sorry." I hold him closer.

"It's not your fault, love." My heart pounds as he says love. Im his love.

"Midnight snack?" I ask. He lifts his head from the crook of my neck and smiles. He places a gentle kiss on my lips, leaving tingles.

He grabs my hand and pulls me out of bed. I giggle at his actions. He crouched down and says, "hop on."

I jump on his back and he catches me. Nobody had ever given me a piggyback ride. I circle my arms around him and lean my head on his back. I could die happy right here.

"I like this." I smile against his back.

"Me too, I can feel you." He smirks. My wolf purrs at his rosy lips.

"Perv." I giggled lowly. We reach the kitchen and I hop down.

He watches me as I grab the chocolate brownie ice cream. His eyebrows pinched together.
