"How did we get stuck here again?" Ash asked in an irritated tone.

After leaving Valencia island for their journey through the Archipelagos, our heroes are now stranded on Tangelo Island. They missed the last ferry to Mikan island by just a few minutes, and the next one would only arrive in a week.

"I reminded you Ash! But you were busy with stuffing your breakfast!" Drake chided him, before gaining his composure. "Now all we can do is wait for the next ferry."

"Are you sure you're not my cousin from Aunt Ilene?" Ash mumbled grumpily. He was still in a fowl mood because they missed the boat. Now he'll have to wait for another week to start his Orange Islands Gym challenge.

"Well, since we're already stuck here, and this is a vacation spot, why don't we take this time and enjoy the beach?" Misty suggested. Serena and Diantha nodded their heads excitedly as well.

"But... I need to train for my gym battle." Ash protested. Of course, everyone knew how stubborn he was, so Serena had to coax him. But before that Drake supported him. "I agree, Ash can't slack off right now."

The three girls glared at him angrily, which made him shudder. And then Serena walked over to Ash. "Sometimes taking a break can go a long way to help you focus your training." She said sweetly.

Her sweet eyes were irresistible, and Ash had to give in. "You win Serena." He sighed sadly, before stating. "But, I'm gonna train the entire week after that!"

And with that declaration the fate of the group was sealed. They were going to have a beach day.

Before heading over to the beach, everyone walked to the pokemon center. Of course, if they were going to stay on the island for the next week, they needed to book rooms. While they didn't notice it when they first came, now taking a closer look, Tangelo island was very similar to Cinnabar. In fact it was an even grander deception for the wealthy.

After collecting the key to their room, they went in to change. It was a single room with six beds, so they didn't have to worry about that. Good for them there was a beach behind the pokemon center and it was free. That meant they could enjoy a peaceful beach day and unwind themselves.

The twins were the first to change, it didn't take long. Ash put on a deep blue swimming trunk, while Drake had a dark red one. Once they exited, the girls changed into their outfits. Misty of course had a blue two piece swimsuit, Serena had a more traditional looking turquoise green bikini and her long hair was tied into a bun, while Diantha matched hers with Drake's.

Upon walking into the shores, everyone called out their pokemon.

"Alright everyone! Come on out!" "Misty calls... Everyone!" "Everybody, come on out!" "Time to relax!" Ash, Misty, Serena and Diantha called out.

Drake of course tossed his pokemon wordlessly, he always liked to stay silent instead of having to waste energy on stupid catchphrases.

Soon, the entire group of pokemon was out on the beach. Pikachu, Lucario, Ivysaur, Wartortle, Gyarados, Dragonite, Delphox, Sylveon, Arcanine, Dragonair, Slowpoke, Kabuto, Urshifu, Tentacruel, Vaporeon, Seaking, Psyduck, Poliwag, Charizard, Victreebel, Scizor, Jolteon, Snorlax Cloyster and Gardevoir.

"Alright everybody, we're having a beach day. So have fun." Ash said with a big smile, which quickly etched over the mons' faces. His own pokemon had been quite weary with all the training, so it was a good time to take a break. Most of Ash, Serena and Misty's pokemon walked over, forming a circle, and they started to play beach-ball. Gyarados, Vaporeon and Tentacruel quickly made their way into the sea, and Serena walked in too with her little Kabuto.
