Sudden change in behavior and confronting it

Hidan

3rd Person's POV

It was the next day after Kayden cut her wrists. However, Hidan and Kakuzu took notice to her behavior change. She's been acting a bit depressed. It wasn't just Hidan or Kakuzu, it was everyone else in the group. Even Lord Pein has noticed the change in her behavior, which makes Pein questioning her abilities or her if she's able to do her job in the Akatsuki.

So Pein decided to call Hidan, Kakuzu and Kayden to his office to talk about the sudden change in her behavior. It was a silent walk from the main to Pein's office, Kayden didn't dare say a word, fearing that what she'll say she'll regret it. Once the three reached Pein's office, Kakuzu knocked on the door. "Come in." Pein said from the other side.

The three walked into the office and stood in front of Pein's desk. "I assume you wondering why I called you three in here?" he asked the three.

"Yes Lord Pein." Kakuzu said as he looked at Pein.

"I want to talk about Kayden's sudden change of behavior. Did something happen on your mission I sent you on?" Pein asked them as he stared right into Kayden's eyes.

"Yes, we came across her former teammates from the Leaf, we got into a fight when one of them threw a kunai at her and it pierced her stomach. We managed to knock them out and we rushed back here and I stitched up her wound." Kakuzu explained to Pein.

"Kayden, is this the cause of your behavior?" Pein asked her.

Kayden looked down at the ground, staying silent. "I'm assuming from your silence that it is the cause. But I want to know why are you letting what happened yesterday affect you now? And also why are you wearing long sleeves on a hot day?" Pein asked her.

Hidan's POV

Pein's right, it's a hot day and yet she's wearing long sleeves. This makes me feel like she's hiding something. "What are you hiding under your sleeves?" I asked her.

She stayed still and she continued to look at the ground. "Kayden, if you do not answer, I will find out myself what it is you are hiding under your sleeves." Pein said in a dark voice. I looked at him with a glare.

But then, the room went silent when we heard two words come from her mouth. "My cuts." I looked at Kakuzu when she said that and he looked at me. I looked at Pein and I saw him nod his head to her sleeves. Kakuzu took her arms and pulled up her sleeves to reveal bandages.

"Take the bandages off." Pein ordered Kakuzu. He nodded his head and started to unwrap her bandages. What we saw shook me to my core. There on her wrists, were red marks made with a kunai. I looked at Kayden with wide eyes and also anger.

I grabbed her by the shoulders and made her look at me. "Why the hell would you do that to yourself!? What is wrong with you!?" I asked her as I stared at her angrily.

Kayden's POV

When Hidan asked me why I did this and what is wrong with me, I felt tears form in my eyes and I looked down. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I was at my breaking point. I just exploded. "It's because I felt weak! I felt weak when I got hit by Ino, I felt weak! I felt like everything I did was for nothing! I felt like I was worthless! That's what I felt when I saw them, I felt like everything I did here was just shit!" I said as tears streamed down my face as I tried to look away from Hidan.
