Blue:
A color not of the sky up above,
Nor of the ocean at the edge of the shore,
Nor of the lake sheltered in a forest.
It wraps itself around
A large vase,
Decorated in ornate symbols.
A dragon:
Takes to the sky on strong wings,
Or dips into the ocean's deep waters,
Or sips water from a small, shallow lake.
It is imprisoned,
Painted on the outside
Of the large vase.
Leaves:
Fly in the air through a gust of wind,
Float across the surface of the ocean,
Or rest in a forest surrounding the lake.
They are stuck,
Made to be beautiful images
On the large vase.
Flowers:
Traveling through the sky to another home,
Taken across the ocean on a passenger ship,
Or resting in a field that encompasses the lake.
They stay in their original home,
Repetitive figures on the outside
Of the large vase.
Gold:
The color of the sun in the sky,
That illuminates the ocean down below,
That decorates coins on the bottom of the lake.
Its royal beauty decorates
The edges and handles
On the large vase.
