I could hear the faint calling of my name, it sounded far. But it began to grow louder and louder with each time it was spoken. Soon enough, I could distinguish the voice of who was calling my name. It was that of Matthew. Dream's raven. The black abyss that I saw began to lighten as my eyes began to flutter open to see Matthew oh my knees staring at me with his black eyes.

"You're awake!" He exclaims, flapping his wings, and cawing at me.

"Calm your wings," I replied, shifting my weight up to lean more against the back wall. My eyes focused past the boxes that had fallen down, and I could see the unconscious Dream. "Fuck," I breathed out, as this was not good. Whatever happened with Dream's ruby, someone managed to alter it. Obeying its current master. I leaned forward, feeling the aches I currently had, but Matthew flapped his wings and moved from my legs.

"You have been out for hours," Matthew states, cocking his head between Dream and myself. I stood to my feet, wobbling slightly, but found my footing. A handful of the boxes were scattered around Dream. I waved both of my hands out, and as I did the action both of my palms sprouted the red energy. The red energy wrapped around the boxes, and followed suit with my action, as they were thrown to the side even more. Clearing them from Dream.

"Dream," I staggered forward, coming closer to his body, before crouching down as I was behind him. "Dream!" I shook him to try and wake him up, but he would not wake. She grabs him, and pulls him to his back, so he is now facing up. I looked down at him, and slapped him across his face. It wasn't soft either. But he just remained in his slumber.

"Hey!" Matthew states, not liking that I whacked Dream in the face.

"Be glad it wasn't my fist," I snapped back at Matthew, taking a brief glance at him, and then back at Dream. He looked ever so peaceful unconscious. "That ruby did a number on him," I announced to Matthew, as there wasn't much I could do. "Matthias-" I cut myself off, as I realised that I spoke Matthias's name not Matthew's.

"Who is Matthias?!" Matthew responded looking curious as he could for a bird.

"No one," I shot back quickly, not wanting to bring up my former lover. "And if you ask again, I will pluck your feathers, and cook you," my voice darkened, as I was threatening Matthew. He became quiet, and turned his beady gaze away from me and to his master.

"You know a way to wake him?!" Matthew was quick on the draw, wanting to know how to wake Dream from this.

"Oh yeah," I replied. "Let me just give him a kiss and he'll spring back into action," my expression and tone was full of sarcasm.

"Sarcasm, really?" Matthew wasn't impressed by my sudden change to sarcasm.

"I don't have a handbook for The Endless," I shot at him, but even everything I know about them. Nothing is useful while he's in this state. "All you can do is wait," I state, but he suddenly clicked with the word I spoke.
