Just leave ( Brett Talbot )

Chapter 8

I look at the girl staring at us.

I say "Who are you? "

She says " Violet. Its such a shame i have to kill such a young couple. "

Brett looks at me and takes a deep breath.

" I want you to run as fast as you can. Find your way home. If im not there within 20 minutes you come find me okay? "

I slowly nod, not really knowing if i want to fight with him or not. He gives me a little shove and i take off running. Quickly hoping over fallen tree's or things i feel like i would trip over.

I hear a scream. I drop to my knee's covering my ears. The pain is unbearable and it hurts like hell.

Why is it so loud?

I pull my hands away form my ears and see blood. I quickly put my hands back and wipe more blood off.

Why did such a loud scream make my ears bleed?

I look up and around once the screaming stops. My hearing is gone.

I slowly turn my head round and round, looking for something to tell me to go. A little push. Anything.

I spot flash lights and see a couple of men. I soon take of running, not really knowing what they could be doing.

I see movement and Liams face soon appears. I watch as his lips move, trying to talk to me but i cant tell what hes saying.

I say " I know your talking to me, but i cant hear you. "

He slowly nods and grabs my hand pulling me.

Im falling behind, due to not knowing if i should trust him or do what Brett says. My mind goes back to what the woman said. " Take care of him for me. " Its for sure been more than twenty minutes.

I pull back from Liam and start running the other way, back to Brett. Its surly been 20 minutes. I'm not sure if he's back yet or not but, something's telling me to go back and find him. Even if it means im getting hurt.

I stop when I hear a loud growl. I close my eyes and focus on where the sounds coming from. I turn in a direction and open my eyes. Everything is yellow. I quickly ignore it and start running in the direction I heard the growl from.

After a few more minutes of running I see it. I see Brett with blood coming out of his mouth. No one is around that i can tell. my hearing is suddenly back. I quickly run over to Brett. I help him up and he stares into my eyes.

He says " Why did you come back? "

I say " The scream.. "

I pull my hair back and show him the blood. 

I say " Then my eyes. "

I look back up but they were normal. My sight wasnt yellow anymore. 

He says " You had a feeling. Didnt you? "

I say " Like you where hurt? Yes. "

I help him sit up and he wipes his mouth. 

He says " Who where you with? You dont smell like me anymore. "

I say " Liam. I dont know who he is. "

He says " Dunbar. "

He sighs and rolls his eyes annoyed. 

I say " Im sorry i yelled at you saying it was your fault. It wasnt and im sorry. I dont know hat got into me. I know i already said sorry and all but i feel bad about it. you have done so much for me already. I should treat you with more respect. "

He says " Its okay. I know its my fault. I shouldnt of made you be someone your not. "

" Brett?! "

I jump and turn to see a girl around Brett's age. She quickly runs and hugs him.

" Are you okay? Are you hurt? "

she squishes his face, checking him for any signs of being hurt. 

He says " Im fine, why are you out here? Shouldnt you be at him watching Satomi? "

Her face softens. 

He says " What? "

She says " The hunters got her Brett. They shot her. "

He falls to his knees and lets out a loud roar. I feel my eyes starting to shine and i feel the need to comfort him. The noise stops and the girl looks to me. I keep my eyes closed and keep my hands in fists. 

" Who's she? "

Brett says " The newest part of the pack. Hope, why are your eyes closed. "

I re-open then and show him that my eyes are glowing. 

I say " When you uh growled or whatever they started to shine. "

He says " Are you okay? "

I say " Why wouldnt i be? Your the one i need to be asking that. "

" So you two have a thing? "

 We start walking to where we need to be. I turn to look at the girl. 

Brett says " no. I just look out for her. "

I say " And i look out for him. Who is she anyways? "

Brett  says " Hope, this is Lilly. Lilly this is Hope. Your both apart of the pack. "

Lilly says " Actually... Were lone wolfs now. We dont have a alpha. "

I say " What? What does that mean? "

Brett says " It means, we are weaker. Our eyes will start to shine blue. And a lot of alpha's will hunt us down looking for us. "

I say " Isnt that good? So we can find a new alpha? "

He says " No. Its not good. Not all Alpha's are good. "

I say " Not all of them. But there is good ones? "

Lilly says " The only good alpha i know is  Scott McCall. "

I say " What makes him so good? "

Brett says " Hes a true alpha. "

I say " Okay? Whats that? "

Lilly says " To become a Alpha you have to steal your power. You have to kill another alpha. Unless your a True alpha. In that case your power cant be stolen and it was given to you. Meaning you are very powerful and you do the right thing. "

I say " So why dont we go to him? "

Brett says " Because Liam is there. "

I say " So whats so bad about that? "

Lilly says " They dont get along. "

I say " But he was really nice. Why not? "

" Just drop it okay? "

His tone is angry. I look down to the ground and continue walking.
