Garfield POV:

After saying goodbye to Metropolis, the busy streets turned into long winding roads. Eventually after driving for another hour, my destination finally came into view. Jump City. The buildings stacked next to each other neatly and road signs telling you where each major part of the city was located. I turned right, following the sign pointing to Jump City University. The apartment I had picked out was only a block away so that I could walk to class rather than pay outrageous prices to park at school.

I checked my phone GPS to make sure I was going the right way. I pulled into a stall in front of the building, making sure there were no signs that could get me towed, especially since I just got the car. I got out, making sure to grab my red jacket and throw it on. The weather was a bit cooler than earlier

That's when I saw her. A woman around my age on the other side of the road looking lost. The biggest thing that stood out to me was her dark purple hair. Her skin looked a little paler as well but it might have just been the sun. She held up her phone and looked around. I assumed she was looking for her apartment. That's when I noticed two guys following loosely behind her, quietly talking to each other so she didn't hear them. One of them got a phone call, nodded and hung up. I watched as one of them pointed to an alley the girl was about to pass. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. Something wasn't right here.

I quickly slammed the hood shut and made my way across the street nonchalantly, making sure not to alert the men I was now following. I watched as the two men got closer to the woman until they were just behind her. She must've noticed because she started walking faster. Unfortunately she didn't get far as another guy pulled her into the empty alley she was walking past and the other two followed. I quickly made my way up and peered around the corner. I could finally hear their voices.

"Just come with us, kid. You've been a real pain in your father's side. He's had enough of this cat and mouse game. You're coming with us now!" I saw the girl punch the main guy in the stomach. He stumbled back a bit, but regained his balance. The three men crack their knuckles.

"The hard way then." The man punched her in the face, her body falling with a loud thud, rendering her unconscious.

"Grab her and let's go." The men began to make their way towards her. Well I can't let that slide. I walked out from behind my spot and put myself in between them and the girl. The men looked at me first confused then angry.

"I suggest you gentlemen walk away while you still can." My face is stern and unchanging. They looked at me like I was crazy and started laughing.

"Very funny boy. Now get out of the way." He put his hand on my shoulder to move me out of the way. I grabbed his hand and twisted his fingers, bringing him to his knees, his face contorting to showcase the pain he was experiencing.

"I warned you. Stop now or you'll force my hand." Both men stayed in their place, faces becoming more angry and getting ready to attack. I grinned to myself. I was sort of hoping they wouldn't listen.

The first man ran at me but I punched him in the throat, he falls on the ground clutching his neck. I snap the two fingers of the man I was holding and he let out a yelp. I finish him off by elbowing him in the jaw. One down.

The second guy recovers from the throat punch and tries to punch me but I reflect his arm and it catches the third guy in his stomach, causing him to double over. I kick him in the face, knocking him out as well. Two down.
