THUD!

"Ahhhh!!!"

The girls jumped as they looked up and saw Edward and Jasper on top of their truck, smirks on their faces.

"Isabella!"

The boys and Bella look to Adeline, who was now soaked, seeing as Bella had sprayed her with the hose when she got scared.

"Oh no... I'm so sorry, Addie," Bella said, failing to muffle her giggle.

"Whatever," Addie said, a small smile forming on her lips as well. "Can you guys get down and act human? We have neighbors, you know."

The boys jumped down from the top of the truck.

"Come to our house tomorrow," Edward says.

"Your house," Bella starts.

Addie finishes for her, "With your family?"

"Yes," Jasper smiles at the girls' anxiety.

"What if they don't like us," Adeline asks. Bella nods her head in agreement.

Jasper shakes his head, "So you're worried, not because you two will be in a house full of vampires, but because you think they won't like you?"

The girls both nod. The boys laugh.

"I'm glad we amuse you," Bella says.

The laughter dies as the boys hear something.

"What is it," Addie asks.

"A complication," Jasper answers, watching a vehicle approach. "We'll pick you up tomorrow."

As the boys head to their car and drive away, they eye the passengers in the approaching car. Billy and Jacob lock eyes with the vampires as they pass, the tension clear in the air. The newcomers park and Jacob sets up Billy's wheelchair.

"Come to visit your truck?" Bella asks.

"Actually," Billy answers, "we came to visit your flatscreen. First Mariners game of the season. Plus, Jacob here kept bugging me about seeing you again."

"Great, dad. Thanks"

Just then, Charlie pulled up in the police cruiser.

"Pale Ale," he said, plainly.

"Harry Clearwater's homemade fish fry," Billy responded.

Everyone headed inside. As Adeline walked up the stairs to her room, she could hear Billy and Charlie beginning to talk about the Waylon case. She decided she didn't want to listen to any of it, and left Bella and Jacob to talk with them.

Addie woke up early, excited and nervous. She already knew the Cullens, but the only time they only interacted was in school. This was a completely different environment.

What if they don't like me now? What if we interact out of school and they change their minds about me?

Addie pushed the thoughts out of her head. She does some light makeup and put on her clothes. Casual, yet slightly more dressed up than her everyday look. Then she hears a car pull up outside.

They must be here.

As the four arrive at the Cullen's house, Edward and Jasper exit the car and open the doors for their partners.

Oh my god. It's gorgeous.

Everything Addie sees is white. Instead of walls with windows in them, there were entire walls of glass that looked out onto the forest and the river.
