When I reached the last season on the path (winter) I came to 2 giant arched doors. Me, being as curious as I am, walked up to the doors. There was no knocker, nor was there a handle. I knocked with my fist. It seemed silly knocking my tiny fist on such a big door.
"Now, what're you doin' young lady?" A big lump of leaves asked me in a heavy country accent... No, not a leaf pile, a goblin! (At least it was some sort of weird creature)
"Well, I need to get through this door... and... well, I don't quite know how." I replied searching the door for any type of place to pull open the door.
"Well that's ridiculous! I'm the door master just ask me!" He said "Queens! She must be a hollow noggin if she don' know who I is!" He then muttered under his breath.
"Well then, I suppose you could open these doors for me can't ya?" I asked rather annoyed with him calling me a "hollow noggin'"
"I sure can Itsy!" He waved his hand gesturing the doors to open. To my surprise, the doors opened and he nudged me into the dark damp tunnel. I turned.
"My name, is not Itsy, It's Miami!"
The leaf goblin grunted.
"Whatever you say, Itsy!"
"I don't even know YOUR name!"
I looked at the dark tunnel in front of me.
"My name... Is Gruff."
Stalagmites dripped like slow motion rain. the ground was grass but had a mixture of mud too. I stepped into the tunnel and didn't look back but said.
"Well, aren't you coming?" I asked to the leaf man behind me. He chuckled
"That's a real funny joke Itsy!" He called to me.
"I ain't no tunnel-master now am I?" I sighed.
"No, but you must have a virus in your desktop if you think I'm going in this tunnel alone!"
He grunted again the showed me through the tunnel.
I would never expect there to be a beautiful village at the end of the tunnel, filled with beautiful cottage- houses, gardens, shops, a park, Except when I reach the end of the deep, dark tunnel, there really was! In the middle of the beautiful town, there was a huge castle made completely out of queen playing cards. When I looked back I noticed the gate keepers face. A fat pudgy green face, covered in dirt and leaves. He didn't wear clothes, he was simply, a pile of leaves with fat, green legs and arms. He had a goatee like a famous painter would have, a mustache with curled ends and a small upside-down triangle beard. As I turned, said good bye and entered the city, I thought, maybe, just maybe, I would see the gate keeper again.
