The little hut in the woods

Pheode unlocked the door to the small wooden hut. "And this is our hut!" She gestured for me to come in. "Pheode, Miami will be staying with us, could you set up a place for her?" Pheode hurried off into the hallway.

I slept great that night.... up until when the hut began to shake furiously. I shot bolt upright. Pheode and Ashlyn were up too. "GUYS?!" By the time Ashlyn yelled our name the hut was shaking so terribly i couldn't tell what was up and what was down. I tumbled off the bed, my arm slammed into what i thought was a huge brick wall. Nope, not a huge brick wall, a dragon. I was thrown behind the dragon, "ASHLYN! PHEODE! ARE YOU OK!?" I yelled desperately. I guess the dragon heard me because he turned toward me and roared. A wave of fear washed through me. I could only faintly hear Pheode screaming. The dragon was staring into my eyes, the dragon blew smoke from his nose 3 times before lunging at me. I slammed into the wall. My head buzzed, my legs wouldn't hold my weight. Adrenaline pumped through my veins, and suddenly something came over me, I whistled as high pitch as I possibly could. As soon as i whistled logs rose up like steps, forming a bridge over the dragon. I ran over the bridge and took a wild 16 foot leap towards the weapon cabinet, the dragon was so shocked that it didn't have time to recover before i stabbed my knife through its back. Silence. And then coughing. A cloud of dust revealed Ashlyn. She ran to me, giving me a huge hug. The adrenaline drained out of me and i fell to the floor. Ashlyn gasped, "your arm! What did you do?" I looked down to see a bone sticking out of my left arm. Ashlyn wrapped my arm and Before i could stand up,  Pheode came running in from the hole the dragon had knocked in the wall, "there's an entire army of trolls coming!" Pheode panicked. "How can you tell?" I asked. "When the dragon smashed a hole in the wall i had just enough time to sneak up to the attic and check the telescopes." All of a sudden an alarm wailed and screaming erupted. "I guess they're here."   

We ran outside to meet Commentenius and Gringus running around in a fit of fear. "I'll go talk to them maybe get an army ready to fight back." Ashlyn yelled, already running away "GOOD IDEA!" i called back.
