As soon as she got back, her emotions seemed to be off. She seemed to be on edge. I overheard a conversation with her mother, it was all fine until she mentioned boys. Boys. Already? It was only the first day. I can hear the frustration in her voice and I begin to wonder what it would be like if she was my kind how would she deal with the frustration. She's not exactly emotionally driven but from just that first day I can see whatever happened bothered her.

I follow her again. I feed and then I show up after school. Those people, it seemed as much as I didn't want to be involved with them Bella had other plans. One of them stares at her, I'm not sure in what way. That's the way I would stare at something that looked like prey.

My ear catches the attention of screeching tires and suddenly a van is headed straight towards her. I begin to rush to her but before I can, I see him run toward her. I stop in my tracks and I watch as he stops the van with his bare hands, and before anyone can see him he jumps on the other side of the truck and leaves, I contemplate following him and confronting him but I shouldn't. All of this confirms it. They're vampires. Going to school?

I humanly run toward Bella

"Bella!! " I yell as I finally get toward her pushing through the people, they say 911 is on their way. "Are you okay?!"

She stares at me looking disoriented, she then tries to figure out what happened. She saw it. I know she saw it. This is where her curiosity is going to make me anxious.

The ambulance arrives and she says nothing toward me. She's quiet the entire ride and I think of my options, I have a feeling one way or another getting involved is no longer an option, it will happen. I also think because of that I have to pick a way to go human or vampire. I need to see more and learn more, the best way to do that is appearing human right?

We ride all the way to the hospital. They give Bella the attention she needs and I wait silently, waiting for Charlie. Then I remember the van who the hell was driving that van? Then a man sits in the room beside us, he keeps apologizing over and over and Bella says it's fine. Finally I look over to him and he stares at me, the veins under my eyes show slightly and he says nothing, he quickly looks away I wonder if he thinks it's just his imagination, just then Charlie bursts in.

He yells at the kid and then attends to Bella, just then another man, pale, inhuman like the others, he's older.

"I heard the chiefs daughter was in"

"Dr. Cullen" when I compelled everyone i swore it was everyone. But seeing those people and this man before me, I've never seen them before. Dr. Cullen glances at me and I feel he'll say something. I can't play human if they know something. But he says nothing he takes over Bella's examination and makes sure she's okay, although she edges on about how he wasn't anywhere near her and how quick he was. Too curious.

I tell Charlie I've got errands to run and to let me know if she's going to be okay, I then walk out and around the corner, I see two of them, the one who saved her and another blonde hair. They stop talking and glance at me. I smile and keep walking past them. They say nothing until I'm around the corner, then I stop.

"You do realize what you've done right?"

"Rose-"

"No this can get us all killed, you need to straighten this out"

"What was I supposed to do just let her die"

"This is the just about you, it's about all of us"

It's quiet. Footstep go in all directions and I leave quickly. The rescuing of Bella seemed to have put them in some sort of danger. They seem to know how to take care of themselves, there's no way they can be prey. What could they be afraid of? Unless they speak of the voltari, I've met them once, they're not something to be afraid of, but of course I suppose as weak as they are, they have something to fear.
