Oh dear... Kevin didn't look so well. I hope he's better.

I walked back to my house which was across Kevin's and closed the door behind me.

"So, how was the date?"

"ACK! WHO'S THERE?!"

I stumbled around and tripped over myself, falling on someone. I shook in fear of the unknowing.

"Yeesh, it's just us.", I heard Eddy say. I looked down and saw Ed crushed under my weight.

Yikes...

"Oh dear! My apologies, Ed! I didn't see you! Do you need help?", I quickly got up, enabling him to get up without anymore injuries from me.

"It's fine, Double Dee! I got a thick skull.", Ed knocked on his head, not flinching.

"I don't even think you have a brain", Eddy deadpanned. I turned around and faced Eddy.

"Eddy!", I scolded.

"Sorry, but it's true. Anyways, how did it go?!"

I smiled a bit.

"To be frank, it was unusual. After I explained something, he zoned out and glanced at me every now and then."

It was peculiar, but it was cute.

"And what about the scam?!", Eddy eagerly jumped up and down.

"So sorry, Eddy, but that is classified. We are competing after all.", I stated bluntly.

"Hey, can't blame me for trying. Did anything else happen?"

"Well", a blush crept to my cheeks.

Ugh. There is no convincing me.

"When I said I had to go home, he stopped me and requested for me to have dinner with him and his family. It was a sweet gesture."

"Double Dee's in love!", Ed said in a sing-song voice.

"I think Shovel Chin has the hots for you.", Eddy teased.

I frowned. Did he really forget?

"I don't think that's it. He's heterosexual. Remember back then when he dated Nazz?", I reminded Eddy.

Eddy rolled his eyes. "Yeah, for like a month. They're good friends."

"Even if Kevin were to somehow be bisexual, I don't see how he would date me.", I crossed my arms, waiting for a response.

"He hung out with you."

I do not want to argue right now, Eddy.

"That was because of you."

"Well, he invited you for dinner!", Eddy began to toss an apple between his hands.

"That was just manners!"

"Please, I have more manners than he does, and that's saying something.", he said, putting the apple in the bowl of oranges. I quickly picked it up and put the apple in it's proper place.

"Eddy, please refrain from doing that. I... I don't know what to do.", I said, lying on the couch.

"Just follow your heart.", Ed said, eating a granola bar.

I smiled.

"Thanks Ed", I said before closing my eyes.

I really am lucky to have friends like them.
