And secondly: I'm sorry I haven't posted stories in a long time. I was in such a slump and was very VERY unmotivated, and I'll probably stay that way until I feel like writing. Dammit. This feeling hasn't left my chest ever since gym and I don't know if I really like having it around...

"Kevin? Are you alright?", I heard a voice next to me. I jumped and turned to my right, seeing the beanie-headed boy, concerned. I looked around and saw that there were people already exiting school.

Has time really gone this fast? I haven't noticed...

"Kevin?", I heard him repeat.

I can't let him know. I'm supposed to be the one caring about his problems. I have to protect him.

Wait... What am I saying?

"I'm fine.", I said, looking at the ground and sighing. I heard the chatter of people talking about us hanging around together as if we couldn't hear them.

Dumbasses...

"Are you sure? You really haven't been yourself lately."

My heart starts beating loudly.

Thump-thump

I don't need your help. I said I'm fine...

Thump-thump

"I'm fine. Really.", I keep looking down as I'm saying this.

"I'm not buying it. Now can you just tell me what's going on?"

Thump-thump

Can you tell me who that chick was that was at gym?

Thump-thump

"Just leave me alone. You're supposed to hang out with the Eds anyway. Especially with that Marie girl.", I said coldly.

"What are you talking about?!", Edd suddenly grabbed my wrist and tugged at it, stopping us from walking. I saw some people stop to see what was going on. "What is with you? If there really is something wrong you have to tell me."

Thump-thump.

What if Marie was his girlfriend? But he was really afraid around her. Was she an ex? What if they get back together? What about me? I really need time to think about this.

"Well?!", Edd said, still holding onto my wrist.

"I don't need your help.", I said, looking at the clouds starting to form in the sky.

"I can't hear you. Speak louder."

Thump-thump Thump-thump Thump-thump Thump-thump

Just give me some space. I need some alone time, so leave me alone.

"I need an answer, Kevin."

"Hello? Can you hear me?"

I took his hand off my wrist and ran off. I didn't care that it began to rain. I didn't care if I slipped. I just need to think.

I can't rely on Edd forever, and I don't need his help. I can figure this out on my own.

I made it to my house and quickly locked the front door shut. Sighing and completely wet, I took off my jacket and went to my bedroom to change.

Thump-thump

After changing to to a longs leave and some sweatpants, I lied on my bed and took out my phone.

Edd. Edd. Edd.

I shook my head.

No. Right now I need to be alone. I already told Dorko that.

But I still feel like I fucked up.
