(Paul POV)

Later That Night

The singer laid his sleeping son down on the toddler bed in his room of the cabin, pulling his favorite blue blanket around him as you turned down the volume on Evan's favorite tv show. Paul kissed his son on the side of the face and then grabbed your hand, pulling you back to the bedroom. Little had been said between the two of you since the awkward dinner with the five of you ending in Evan throwing a fit and causing a scene in the entire restaurant. Paul wondered what his folks truly thought about the two of you being married, but for now, he wanted to lie next to his bride to be and see where the rest of the night led him.

"What a day. Can you imagine we are going to have a toddler and an infant in a couple of months? I dont know if I'm ready for that," You said, as you pulled back the covers of the bed.

"I think it's a little late to back out now, honey. You are about ready to deliver, baby girl. I am sorry my folks being a little cold to you. They have always been a little standoffish with new people." Paul replied, as he pulled his shirt over his head.

He purposely dragged the shirt over his body, knowing you enjoyed looking at his six-pack abs and chest. He threw the garment to the floor before climbing into bed beside you and pulling to his chest. You sighed and kissed the spot right where his heart was before looking up at the singer with an all-knowing smile. Paul grabbed your chin and pulled you closer to him, kissing your lips softly and letting out a deep sigh of content. The singer loved you with all of his heart and that was the only thing in the world that was getting him through the torment in his head about his parents' approval.

"Hey at least they didn't have a nickname for me like my mom did for you. You dirty hippie," You whispered.

"Oh yes, how I love that nickname. Hey can I ask you something and you promise not to get upset?" Paul replied, running his thumb down the side of your face.

"Yes, I wish she could be here, but I don't want our marriage to start on a toxic note. I'm sad she will never know her granddaughter or grandson. Evan would probably adore her, but it's time to be happy with the family you have given me." You said, before kissing him again.

"Have I told you how much I love you and so happy that you said yes?" Paul asked

"You've told me, but I'm waiting for you to show me before we make love tomorrow as man and wife," You whispered

"Oh, you want that animal sex do you?" the singer whispered, rolling you over to your side

Paul smiled and kissed your lips as you laughed, wrapping your arms around his neck. Just as the singer went to move his lips down to your neck, a scream followed by crying sounded from Evan's room, making both you and Paul jump from the bed and talk off running. The singer pushed you slightly out of his way and swung the door open to find Eric and Michael standing in the hallway with little Evan on the drummer's hip. Paul ran a hand down his face, trying to control his anger as he looked at the two men standing in front of him. You reached for Evan and held him close to you as he cried, pissing the guitarist off even more.

"What the hell are you two doing in here? Have you heard of breaking and entering?" Paul asked in a raised voice.

"We were out having a few drinks and I mistake your room for Evan's. Uncle Eric's sorry buddy. Michael said he had to talk to Y/N or he wouldn't go back to the hotel, so here we are." Eric replied.

"I told you this needed to wait until after the wedding. Why can you people respect my wishes?" the singer asked.

"She's coming tomorrow. She will be on the early plane tomorrow Y/N she is very sick and wants to make amends before there's no chance." Michael spurted out.

"Paul, what he talking about? How long have you known about this?" You asked.

Paul sighed and took his son out of your arms, knowing a fight was looming ahead of the two of you. He kissed the boy's head and then handed him back to Eric, pointing for the younger man to take the boy back to his room, as the singer grabbed your hand and lead you downstairs to the living room with Michael following behind the two of you. The singer tried to keep his emotions in check and not thump your idiot best friend for ruining what was supposed to be the best day of your lives, but he knew that would only upset you more and put the baby in jeopardy.

"Alright Michael, you wanted to tell her all of this now, so get it out the night before our wedding." Paul snapped.

The guitarist wrapped his arm around you and held you close to him as he watched the younger man try to find his words in order to tell you the long story.
