(Paul POV)

Paul let out a sigh as he looked at you, seeing the worry lines furrow in your forehead as you looked back at him. He stood up and sat at the edge of his desk, and ran his fingers through his hair. This was the second time he had to deliver bad news to you in this house and he was beginning to think there had been a curse put on the relationship from the word go. You grabbed his hand and gave it a tight squeeze.

"Babe, come on and tell me, please? It can't be that bad to have you crying. What is the band going out earlier on the road?" You asked

"Your mom passed away in her sleep last night." Paul blurted.

"Wait? What? They said her cancer was close to going into remission. Oh god I'm gonna have to go back there and sort through everything." You stammered.

"Baby, you need to take a breath for me and collect your thoughts." The singer replied.

"SHE CANT BE DEAD!!! WE WHERE JUST THERE AND SAW HER!! THIS IS MY FAULT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE HANDS ON WITH HER CARE" You screamed

"I think 5 million dollars was pretty hands on to me," Paul replied and immediately regretted

He went to wrap his arms around him, but you slapped him hard on the face, sending him off the desk. You looked at him as he looked at you and held his cheek before standing up. Paul grabbed you and you broke down into his shoulder. Evan's little feet scurried down the hall, and the guitarist made quick to lock the door so the little boy couldn't see.

"Daddy? Y/N? Ameilya is getting stinky and fussy. Plus, I want to go to the park now," Evan said as he banged on the door.

"Paul, I can't go. I feel so broken-hearted that I need to go and lie back down. Please don't make me go and try to put on a front in front of our children." You whispered.

"You stay in here and ill go get them settled. Ill take him back to his mom's early and then ill be sole duty of Mila," Paul said.

He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to your forehead, hearing you let out a shaky sigh. The singer found himself worried about your mental health on top of.

Everything else that was on his plate. Paul open the door and scooped up his son, making sure to kiss the little boy's forehead just as he had done you a minute before. He dialed Gene's number off his cell phone and put it to his ear. Praying he could catch the older man on a good day.
