Chapter 1: A New Beginning, But The Same Mind

I opened my eyes, as I heard my alarm clock go off. Today was the last day, I thought. The last day I had to say good-bye to my friends and South Carolina. My mom and dad both gotten promoted to a new job in Seattle. My dad was a famous like doctor, and my mom was a veterinarian. I figured out if I wanted to choose between my mom and dad for which job id like the most, I would choose my moms. I love animals and my goal for the future was not just finding my vampire boyfriend  and becoming one, but also becoming a vet.  

As I was getting up heading towards my bathroom, I took a rag off my rack and ran hot water through it. I squeezed the hot water out and then whipping my face. Then I tossed the rag somewhere, while looking through the bathroom mirror, I seen a brownish-gold eyed, freckled face girl who had long red hair, that had looked like birds nest. And then I realized.. that girl.. was me. Charmain Spirit Rose-dawn.

"Charmain! Come on your going to be late for school!" Shouted my mother.

"Don't remind me" I whispered to myself. I couldn't stand the fact, that we were moving. Since I had no choice, but too. I got ready. I was wearing a lime green polo shirt, some green leggings and lime green and white all star shoes. Plus my hair was flat ironed. As I walked out my bathroom I tripped over some boxes. I forgotten quick that I had all my stuff in my packed in boxes, and crates. "Ugg why!" I yelled. I got up grabbed my book bag and headed down stairs, which a waits my pregnant mother, father, and my ten (10) year old sister.

" Your going to make us be late." said Tayla, which was my annoying little sister.

" Shut up you bug" I responded. " God, why do you have to be so annoying early in the morning?" I said while eating plain bread with jelly.

"Mom! Charmain used god name in vain and called me a name!" Tayla shouted, also leaving my sight.

My dad walked in and asked " Do you need a ride to school?"

I answered " No, one of my friends are on there way to pick me up." I said not forcing myself to look at him.

"Look baby girl, I know your not ready, but.." He had gotten interrupted by a hunk of a car.

"Sorry dad, but I have to go. I'll see you later" I said putting on a fake smile, and then when I was a step away from the door, and door knob my dad called my name and said" Please don't get in trouble on your last day in school day dreaming on mystical creatures and fake vampire boyfriend."

"Bye dad, see you when I get home." I said and then opened the door and nearly, almost slammed it. I took a deep breath, walked towards the car. My friends Evy, and Dae was in the car waiting for me. I opened the door and got in the backseat. They both looked at me like something was wrong. "What?" I asked looking confused.

Evy, who was driving looked back and started the car back. Dae on the other hand, stood looking at me. As we pulled out my parking lot and headed to the school which was a twenty (20) minute drive Dae was still looking at me. "What the hell Dae, why are you looking at me?" I asked.

Evy started to laugh, and so did Dae. I couldn't help it, but to put a little smirk on my face to keep me from laughing. " She's doing this to everyone Char. Don't mind her." Evy told me still facing the road.
