Literally just a fluff chapter
Darius' POV:
Kenji barged into my room. I jumped and turned around in my chair.
"HEY D- oh your already awake." I stared at me. I was on my computer waiting for him to say something. We didn't have school today so I didn't know what he wanted.
"Your boyfriend is here." He finally explained, that's when I remembered. Shit! We have a date today! I looked down at my outfit, I looked horrible.
"Oh shit!" I shouted, Kenji chuckled and walked away. I jumped up from my seat and started rummaging through my closet. I chose some pants and a sweater. I rushed out the door and ran into Ben.
"Oh! Hi!" I said, our of breath. He looked at me a little confused, he kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me.
"You don't have to look nice when we go out you know." He reminded me, I nodded as we started to walk into my mom's car.
"Hello Ben!" She greeted him, he smiled widely and sat next to me in the back. We sat in silence until we arrived at the small cafe.
"Are you sure you two will be okay in your own?" I nodded and smiled reasuringly as Ben stepped out of the car.
"I promise, we'll be extra careful." I said with a wide smile. She sighed and nodded.
"Bye Mom, I love you." I quickly said, she eventually started to leave and both me and Ben started to walk over to the Cafe. I held the door open for him and walked in after him.
Ben's POV:
We got some food and sat down. We were pretty open with our relationship, we didn't have anything to be embarrassed about. We are out food and walked down the street, just chatting.
"I think Bumpy is amazing." He agreed, I nodded my head.
"Yeah! She could beat anything!" I proudly said, it was like I raised Bumpy. I had been with her since she was born.
"She's like your Daughter." He nudged me, with a laugh. I nodded in agreement.
"I'm like her dad." I proudly said, Darius chuckled slightly. His smile faded eventually. My eyebrows furrowed at the sudden mood change.
"You okay?" I finally asked, he looked up at me and quickly smiled.
"Yeah, I'm good." He quickly responded, I sighed and smiled sadly back. He doesn't share much with me anymore. I didn't know why, but it was fine. Something's are just more private.
Darius' POV:
I walked back in the house after dropping Ben off with my mom. She set her bag down while I went up to my room. I sat down in my chair like I would usually do when I got home. I picked my phone up and opened an app.
DinoNerd: Hey!!
Hasanamazinggirlfriend: Hey Darius!
DinoNerd: How are you and Yaz?
Hasanamazinggirlfriend: Good! She helped me with Betty today.
DinoNerd: She didn't complain? 😱
Hasanamazinggirlfriend: Nope! I know it's so surprising.
Superstar: No way.
DinoNerd: Oh hi Brooklyn!
Superstar: Heyyyy
Hasanamazinggirlfriend: Brooklyn!
Amazinggirlfriend: Hey! I'm not that much of a complainer, Kenji is WAY worse than me.
Handsomeguy: HEY 😠
Amazinggirlfriend: I'm just saying.
Superstar: Hi Kenj!
Handsomeguy: hi brooklyn
BennyBoy: Do you not capitalize anything?
Handsomeguy: shut up ben
DinoNerd: We all should hang out sometime!
BennyBoy: I'm up for it.
Superstar: I would have to look over my schedule. 😓
Hasanamazinggirlfriend: Us too, me and Yaz have to help my parents with the farm this week. Sorry! 😥
Handsomeguy: oh well maybe another time
DinoNerd: ^^
Handsomeguy: hold on mrs bowman wants us
Amazinggirlfriend: That bitch really need to learn how to use capitals.
Superstar: I have to go, but Yaz be nice!
Amazinggirlfriend: Yeah yeah, I'll try bye Brooklyn.
I put my phone down and walked out of my room, meeting with Kenji in the hall and walking down the stairs with him.
"What do you think she needs?" I quietly asked, Kenji shrugged. We went into the kitchen. My mom was looking very guilty.
"What is it Mom." I said, she took a deep breath and looked up at us with a sorry tone on her face. I glanced at Kenji confused. He was as confused as me.
"I need to talk to you two boys..." She mummbled with a sad tone. My eyebrows furrowed. What is happening?
I'm feeling a little better, I still feel like shit but I did publish. I'm sorry for not publishing yesterday and I'm also so so so sorry for the short chapter 😪
