"Cally you're going to be late" My anxious mother yelled out as I stumbled downstairs struggling with my shoe lace.
"Pants Cally, Pants?" She said as she looked at me with disappointment.
"Mum you mean comfort" I replied with a sheepish smile praying she wont push further. I walked towards the door where she was standing.
"At least wear your hair down, and this sweater, seriously!" she continued to nag but I stood there day dreaming about the library in Sinclair.
"Mum" I said loudly with excitement interrupting her nagging "Do you think the library is as big as what we saw on paper".
"At this point you'll definitely be living in the library, Dad just give her housing fee to me I need those kicks" My brother said seated on the couch browsing through what I could definitely guess were pictures of shoes.
"Sweetie, love the pants especially the little hearts you drew on them, I think your hair is beautiful no matter how it looks" My dad said as he stood far from my mum who had her arms crossed as she glared at him.
"The library is amazing, I know but please, please don't live there and," He stopped when he heard a honking sound from outside, he craned his neck and looked outside.
"Let's go girlll!" Lina yelled from the car.
"okay, you gotta go bye. Good timing Lina, I was out of lines" he yelled as he gave Lina a thumbs up.
"Okay I gotta go, love you Dad, bye mum" I gave her a peck and ran towards the car before she had the chance to say anything.
"Hey bestie, I'm not even going to ask if you're excited, cause I can...." she took a deep breath before saying "feel it in the air"
I laughed "I know right, just me and you!" I smiled and dragged my seat belt as she started the car.
"Here we come your majesties" she screamed out the window with her hand in the air.
Lina had this delusion that she was going to be a princess and the only reason she picked Sinclair was because the school was filled with royalty.
Lina had found her one true love and motivation, she spent all summer researching everything about two of the princes, from their favorite sports to likes and dislikes and even their allergies. So here comes the role playing for perfect princess candidate.
I on the other hand was more motivated by their educational system. If not for the scholarship, I wont have been able to attend such a prestigious academy.
Sinclair was a school for royalties, a place where the kids of different kings and nobles come to socialize, in a way it determined the relationship of the states, commoners like us were only given the opportunity to admire these robots that had been polished for a royal life. They believe the importance and dignity of monarchy can be preserved in a world of growing democracy. What I didn't understand was why they had to go to college if they were just going to assume a position at the end.

"Hold on," My brows furrowed in confusion as I turned to look at Lina. "why are you the one driving us to the airport?"
"Oh James is coming to get the car" she replied
"Seriously why didnt he just drive us here, isnt that like way better?
"Well, one he drives like a slug and two stop worrying and lets go before we miss our flight" she said as she held my hands and dragged me into the airport.
I had paid for an economy flight but Lina was obviously not going to sit cramped next to anyone as she said, so she paid for a first class ticket as always. I only found out when we got there that she upgraded mine to a first class ticket as well.
