it was a calm and quiet morning in the house of the l/n's, so quiet that you can hear your own breath. that's what you wished at least. instead it was the complete opposite, a disaster of noise, just like every other day. your whole family was screaming and shouting, and then there was dad. like always he was the chill person in this house. he was so laid back and easy going unlike some people in this house, but that's what makes him so amazing. but sadly he was at work.

"hey," you turned to see your mom barge into your room, "get up and get ready for school so I don't have to deal with another child on my account." you can hear the stress in her voice even when she spoke in a low and settle tone. you nodded your head with a thumbs up and sat up to see her face more clearly. her cat like eyes were so dull they looked empty and lost. it was kind of scary. "good, and make it quick." the door was shut. you rubbed the corner of your eyes with your bottom palm and flew the covers aside to get out of bed.

you stretched with your arms spread wide and yawned before you made your way downstairs. you strolled your left hand across the stair railing while the other was under your shirt. when you finally got to the final step you took a turn to head to the kitchen to see a literal hellfire. you didn't even want to go into detail of how messy it was, you ignored it and went straight to the counter and took a banana out of the bunch.

you could see your younger siblings running and sliding down stairs with such speed as if they were at some parkour playground level type shit. not to mention the deafening giggles and laughs that made you irritated to the bone.

you yawned once again, and unpeeled your banana on the way back up to your bedroom to get an outfit set. you took a bite off of the tip (pause🧍‍♀️️) and opened the door with your hips and close it with your leg. you closed then sat the half eaten banana down on your desk table.

you sat your hands on your hips and smiled big to the thought of actually trying to wear something really nice for school, and looked over at one of the best outfit you had in your closet. it was a maroon and black striped long sleeve cotton shirt with lace patterns at the chest, a black jeans skirt with loose threads at the ends and a printed dark gray oversized zip up hoodie. you looked down to spot a black high top converse right underneath your outfit. you thought it was the perfect fit to wear, and it was.

"...yeahhh no." once again the will to not dress effortless died and you were going to wear the same outfit you wore more than God knows how many times. you grabbed your usual pair of clothes and quickly finished your banana before you threw it away. you rushed into the bathroom to take a quick shower and rushed back to get dressed. you threw on the pieces of clothing and put the same gray zip up hoodie over it to get your hair ready.

you were wearing a gray low rounded neck crop top, silver around the neck that showed your red lace bra from the neck line. a gold waist chain, baggy army green cargo pants that were being held up by a black double buckle leather belt, and black ankle boots. you did whatever you could with your hair in the last minutes before you grabbed your suitcases and bag and flew downstairs.

"i'm heading out mom! don't let the kids give you too much problems!" you shouted to your mother who was she eagerly cleaning the kitchen with the baby on her hip. "mhm, get there safe!" she shouted back, "but wait! there's a note from your father on the table. he didn't get to say goodbye so he wrote it for you." you looked at her then your eyes fixated on where she was pointing. you grabbed the piece of paper from the table and turned it over to see that it read 'from dad, love you trouble maker :p' it absolutely melted your heart. "yeah, ill read it later. bye!" and with that you closed the door shut and rushed to your car to get your suitcases in the backseat.

you could feel a huge weight being lifted up from your shoulders from leaving the house after months. all the screaming and endless laughter was finally no more.

you rushed to your black Mercedes hand me down from your dad and took off. the breeze was nice and cold, and the air smelt fresh like pinecones straight from a tree in a calm and secluded field of lilies. it really helped calm you down from the thought of something going wrong at home with dad at work.

you were counting down the time as you drove to your college, RavenHood, the "best" school for idiots. your school was known for the most idiotic and horniness students ever to walk the earth, it was also a school for delinquents and trouble makers which was where you fit in. you were never one of those goodie two shoes that did what they had to. you just saw it as a waste of time, but it wasn't like you were stupid or anything, you were an average student or even above average.

it was before you knew it you were driving up to the front of sweet old disastrous RavenHood. you sighed, and drove into the student's parking lot and spent 5 minutes finding a decent parking spot. eventually you got out of your car and put it to lock from your remote, you shoved it in your bag and began walking to the front entrance.

ugh... if this school year ends up like the last, I swear to God.... you stood there blankly watching the the sign saying your school's name and motto. 'RavenHood - school of freedom and the mind set to blossom' you shook your head with a sarcastic chuckle as you began to walk past the large sign, remembering that was your motto, "freedom my ass."
