YOUR EARS WERE ALMOST in disbelief, your facial expression showed what you were thinking more than your tone of voice. It was obvious, yet nanami was just confused. "my... wife. are you alright?" his brows scrunched reaching out a hand of reassurance but you leaned back. "oh yeah, I'm good. I didn't know you had a... wife." your eye twitched between the pause and you swallowed down your saliva.

he chuckled before he got up from the sofa and walked around the glass coffee table to get to your side of the sofa. he reached over and grabbed your bag from besides you, opening the zipper wider. "yeah, but things aren't going so well so we're thinking of getting a divorce." his smile faded. he took a seat just inches away from you and started to pack up your things as you watched him with sorrow. "that's why you don't wear your ring." you turned yourself toward him, looking at his naked ring finger. nanami just nodded without saying a word and continued to pack up your stuff one by one.

you couldn't help but smile at him, you could tell he still cared for her but his interest was slowly fading away. it only really made your plan easier which was killing two birds with one stone. you put on a frown and reached over to give him a comforting hand. you placed your hand on his shoulder and shifted it back and forth, giving him a pitiful look. he was already done packing your bag and finally zipped it up to place it between the two of you. he looked up from the floor and his eyes met yours giving him a sincere glare. he smiled then looked away from your eyes, a soft laughter left his lips before he finally met his eyes with yours once again.

nanami took your hand from off his back and held it in his, patting the back of your hand with his other. "thanks for caring, but I'm fine." his smile was calm to say the least, but it was like you could of see the pain behind it. "I guess... you need someone new to make you feel happy if you're not with her." you said softly, your eyes slowly shifting down to your hand in his. his eyes did the same, then he rose his head back up to look at you. he swallowed down his saliva, "maybe..." you couldn't help but smile inside, you could feel that your plan was working slowly by each second you sat by him. well, you hope it was.

"okay, it's time to go. It's getting late." nanami said and stood up immediately after. your head lifted up and saw as he picked up your bag and threw it over his shoulder. he signaled his head to you to get up then walked off behind the sofa and toward the front door. you jumped off the sofa then rushed following after him as he held the door open. you walked side by side with nanami to get up to the car, the tension you felt a while ago made your body tingle from just the thought. you could care less about his wife if you were being honest, you wanted what you seek and you were going to have it.

_________

it wasn't even five minutes had you departed from nanami that you were already rambling on about your day to alya. you could see the expression on her face that she was so interested in every word you said.

"wait, say that shit again." alya stood up, shocked. "girl I said he's married. you watched as alya's face turned from shocked to almost frightened in just a few seconds. she jumped out of her seat and grabbed your shoulders, her hair bounced when she did. "I knew someone so fine couldn't be single!" she shook you, "how are you gonna go through with your plan then??" you just looked at her with a smirk then took her hands off of your shoulders. sitting her down beside you, you crossed your leg over the other, "it'll work out, since things aren't going too well with them." a smirk covered your lips.

you knew that alya understood what you meant by that, her grin showed it. you nodded to her expression, "mhm, but I gotta get a dialog first at least. I'll let you know." you said before you made your way to your room. everything was working out for you in a way, you couldn't help but laugh. you put your bag on your rack and sat at your desk top, you reached for a pen and your practically empty journal to write down some stuff. your thumb clicked the pen just about to write when your eyes caught a glimpse of something at the edge of your desk. your father's letter. "ah shit... I forgot about that." you uttered under your breath.

you pushed back your chair and reached forward to grab a hold of the letter. it was covered in stickers and smiley faces, such a dad thing to do. with a smile on your face you opened a sticker keeping the envelope closed and pulled out the letter. you opened it's folds and started reading.

"Hi kiddo, I know we didn't get to say goodbye face to face hense why you're reading this right now. So I just wanted to say hi and bye.
I hope you take your school seriously this time... last year wasnt the greatest and you know that.
I love ya and hoping you get your shit together because I know you like to act crazy, like father like daughter I figure.
So have an amazing first day back honey, I love you and make sure to call
"

your lips grew into a smile, same old dad. you put the letter up to your chest and hugged it, you could only imagine him saying those exact words but with more expression in person and it made your heart warm.

still smiling, you packed the letter away and went back to your journal. you clicked your pen and stared at the blank first page thinking of what exactly to write. it took you at least five minutes to write something down and it was only just the plan title.

you grinned, staring at the page you thought aloud, "principal's new start."
