KESANI LOOKED AROUND the school parking lot for a familiar white Kia Sportage.

It was now the end of the school day and Ms. Kelly had informed him that his social worker would be picking him up from school today which was expected.

Kids surrounded Kesani talking to their friends, going to their cars or buses, starting their walk home, or waiting for one of their friends to find them.

It would be nice to fit in to one of those groups.

"SANI!" He heard someone yell getting his attention.

Kesani looked around to find where his nickname had just came from, squinting since he couldn't pin point her just yet.

"Sani! Kesani!"

This time he actually found his social worker on the other end of the parking lot standing outside of her vehicle as she waved her hands over to him.

Kesani could see she had gotten more than his attention which was his favorite part of her picking him up from school.

He began lightly jogging over to where the older woman stood waiting for him with a small smile.

Selena Santana, his favorite social worker since he about was about 8.

Selena was older but she didn't look it at all. Kesani didn't look at her in that way but he knew she was fine as hell and he was proud to be seen with her every time.

If he couldn't flex anything, he could flex that he knew one of the finest women alive and she comes to pick him up sometimes.

Kesani noticed she was wearing a skin tight snake skin dress today with her hair and makeup done meaning she was probably busy with work before this.

"Did you drop some to come get me?" He questioned with guilt as he approached her and the vehicle.

"Don't worry about that. You okay?" She asked in return, looking around his face for any signs of abuse.

"Yea. I'm good." Kesani lied with a head nod.

Kesani hadn't been "good" mentally in a long time. That was expected for someone living a life like his. How would he ever be good when everything in his life was bad bad bad.
