darker without her

she reminded him of the moon, for his nights would be much darker without her.

he couldn’t imagine anyone occupying his nights. occupying his thoughts.

but yet, the moon often brought him agony upon agony.

‘why may? why can’t you stop looking at the moon? come lay with me.’

she shook her head, ’she died five months ago.’

‘come here may, let me help you.’

she shook her head again.

it didn’t hurt him like it hurt her but there was a pang in his heart at her tear lined face and the unshed tears that sat on the eyelashes of her puffy eyes.

he would do anything to take her pain away, but there really was no way to fix this.
