Evulam
I furrowed my brow as I knelt in front of Fennorian, making sure he was okay while Lyris was getting his special flask.
"Fenn, are you okay?" I asked softly, resting a hand softly on his shoulder.
"Oh, I'm fine, Ev'." He took a breath, leaning into the stone railing behind him. "Just in some pain. Having my flask should come in handy though."
I frowned, moving to sit beside him, wrapping an arm gently around him.
He looked up at me, opening his mouth a little before closing it.
Fenn is so...small. I know he's of Altmer blood, but I never realized how small he is, especially considering his Altmer blood.
I frowned. What's taking Lyris so long?
"Fenn?" I asked softly.
He made a little noise in response. I looked down to see him looking even more pale than he already was, eyes closed and his breathing shallow.
"Fenn, open your eyes." I spoke, panicking a little. "Fennorian, please." I spoke, not sure what to do.
When he didn't respond I knew I had to do something. But what?
"Evulam..." Fenn murmured, leaning into me more. "Go...go see what Lyris is...is taking so long for. You shouldn't have even come for me." He mumbled incoherently.
"Fenn, I'm not leaving your side." I spoke firmly.
He didn't respond.
I took a slow breath, pulling my bracer off. I took a deep breath before I put my wrist up to his mouth. I used my other hand, forcing his mouth open in the most gentle way I could.
I inhaled sharply when I felt his fangs puncture my wrist. I held still, watching him as he seemed to wake up some. I watched as his fingers wrapped around my wrist, holding my arm to his mouth.
He pulled away slowly. "Thank you..." He spoke shyly.
"Any time, Fenn." I spoke. "I had to do something, I couldn't just let you die here." I spoke.
He flashed me a soft smile. I always melted when I saw him smile. It was rare, what with everything in Tamriel going wrong at the moment, but when he did I always loved it. His fangs were just barely visible when he would smile, and you could see the smile in his eyes.
How can such creatures as vampires have ones like Fennorian? Any of the Ravenwatch court really. None of them are your typical vampires.
"Are you alright, Ev'?" Fenn asked, cocking his head a little. "Your cheeks are all red." He spoke.
I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Just thinking about someone." I responded. "Do you feel well enough to stand?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, Ev'." He responded. "I can try at least?" He shrugged.
I stood, holding my hand out to him. He grasped it, letting me pull him up.
He was a little off balance, so I didn't move far from him.
"I'm nervous, Lyris hasn't returned yet, and I know we're in enemy territory." I frowned. "I don't want you in danger either." I added, looking at Fenn.
"I'm okay, Evulam." He responded. "Really." He added.
"I'm not taking chances." I replied firmly. He rolled his eyes in a playful manner.
"Yes mother." He spoke, smirking.
"That's a good child. You better obey mother dearest." I replied, grinning at him, playing along with him.
