Polly's POV
Michelle isn't answering any of my calls, I miss her so much and I just want to let her know i changed my mind unfortunately I just have to give her time and let her think everything over, she didn't mean any of it and neither did I. Arcel asked me to come live with him for the duration of the pregnancy, of course I couldn't agree... yet.
*knock knock*
I snap out of my thoughts and head to the door, I know it's not Mich but a girl can hope. I open the door to see the blonde guy from Arcel's house
''Hey...?'' I greet with confusion. I think Arcel sent him I mean of course he wouldn't come all the way here, but I did give him my number so he could've texted or called.
''Can I come in?'' I hesitate for a moment before moving aside and making room for him to enter. He looks like Arcel, I can't explain it, he's dressed really neat, a navy-blue suit with a white shirt and no tie, I like when men wear suits with no tie. He is so majestic.
''Take a seat'' He has an amazing posture too. ''Can i get you something to drink?'' he better say no I only have expired milk in my fridge.
''Just water'' he said. Thank God.
''How can I help?'' I ask while placing the glass of water in front of him, he takes a small sip before putting the glass down and making himself comfortable
'' I'm Montego Raymond, Arcels older brother'' oh my God, He is Arcels older brother? it makes sense now. ''I like you, Polly, there is something about you that I just like, and I can tell you are a good person.'' he continues, ''But I must warn you, you are in grave danger.'' I can't tell where he is heading with this so I remain silent waiting for him to make he's point. ''many people do not know me because I prefer to live a safer life than my brother, but ofcourse i am still part of the Raymond home so i still have enemies, Polly love if you were smart you would have realised Arcel has bodyguards and he's surrounded by guns 24/7, 'Raymond' is a name that dominates the mafia world, my family has been the most feared mafia house for years and will be for years to come. Once you join the family, you are our enemies enemy'' He takes a pause and stares it my soul, trying to see is if understand what he is saying. Is this a movie?? I honestly do not understand a single thing he is saying, A mafia family? what the actual fuck? why do i feel like im being played, these motherfucker is playing in my face.
''Well good thing i don't plan on joining your family, i just want money for the baby'' I clarify
''The baby, Polly, ties you to us, everybody already knows, and there are people making plans on how to end you and that babies' life'' he warns, he looks quite serious.
''Thats absurd, I'm only Arcels baby mamma why would anybody care about me? I'm just a stripper''
''You carry the baby of Arcel Raymond. A drug lord. You carry the niece or nephew of Montego Raymond a ruthless, merciless mafia. You carry the grandson of Lorenzo Raymond, a mafia boss. All this sounds absurd, and i have to be here for when Mich comes back. She is my only concern right now.
''Look i appreciate you uhm warning me or whatever but i can't leave my sister, she left and she isn't responding to any of my texts so i have to be here in case she comes back'' i said
''Your sister Michelle is at the Raymond house as we speak'' He informs me. What ? he is definetly lying what would she be doing there?
It took a lot to convince but if Mich was there then of course I'm gonna go.
We arrived at the house, I can not get over how big this house is, it's huge, and very much guarded, what type of a person needs heavy security? oh yeah mafias. We enter the house and i spot Michelle standing there, immediately when our eyes meet she runs to me and hugs me
''I am so sorry for disappearing, and i am sorry for everything i said'' She apologizes and before i can respond she continues '' When these guys approached me i thought you were in some kind of danger, they explained that you came here saying that you were pregnant so immediately knew you were keeping the baby, i didn't mean to guilt you into keeping the baby Pol'' She had tears in her eyes, i know i her apology is sincere, and honestly she has nothing to apologize for.
we made up and Montego showed us our rooms, and we discussed whether staying here was a good idea or not, i didn't think so but Michelle insisted so i gave in, plus i could save some money if i don't have to pay rent right? Michelle was settling in real fast but i kept my guard, these are still strangers after all
Arcel has asked to take me somewhere tomorrow night, he said there is a few things he wants us to talk about, regarding the baby and how will manage the baby once i give birth.
