My name is Rei, and I'm a huge fan of the *Resident Evil* games. I've played almost all of them, from the original *Resident Evil 0* to the latest, *Resident Evil Village*.

But the one I like the most is *Resident Evil 7: Biohazard*. Why? Because the horror feel is so intense, and the monster designs, along with the atmosphere, perfectly capture the essence of *Resident Evil*.

What makes it even better is the first-person POV gameplay, which really enhances the tension and immersion while playing.

Today, I was playing *Resident Evil Village* and was close to finishing it, when suddenly, the computer and the lights in my room went out.

"Huh? What's going on? Did the power went out?"

"I was so close to finishing the game, and I didn't even get to save my progress yet. Ugh."

I tried pressing the power button on my PC, but after pressing it a few times, I suddenly felt a jolt of electricity run through my hand, causing me to pull my hand away from the PC.

But as I tried to pull my hand away, my vision suddenly went dark, and my body felt like it was being pulled downward. Strangely, there should have been a floor beneath me, but I didn't feel anything as I fell.

It felt like I was floating in water, but I didn't sense any water around me.

"Where am I? What's happening? Why am I floating in this dark space?"

"Hello? Where am I?"

I tried shouting, hoping someone could hear me and help me.

But after yelling for several minutes, I gave up and started trying to figure out why I was in this situation.

"I was playing *Resident Evil*, and then the power suddenly went out. I tried to turn my PC back on, but suddenly I felt like I was being pulled by something."

"What's really going on?"

"Am I in the process of being reincarnated or something?"

As I was monologuing to myself, I suddenly felt my body being pulled again, and my vision became blinding as a bright light started to appear in front of me.

And then...

REI POV

Something was terribly wrong.

The violet-and-green room seemed to mock me. For one, it wasn't my bedroom. Trophies and bookshelves cluttered the walls, filled with things I didn't recognize. The plaques were blurry as I squinted at them. Robotics? Engineering? I hadn't even touched a circuit board in my life.

A strand of black hair fell across my vision, and I pushed it away, trying to ignore the delicate arm and small fingers-those of a child, soft and unmarked.

I wasn't a child. No, I couldn't ignore the fact. I shouldn't be a child. And more importantly why I'm turned into a girl? and my body definitely not mine, I tried to check my buddy and yup it is gone and I tried to touch my chest, yep there's is but still developing. I don't have skin pale enough to make me like a vampire. The last thing I remembered was being seventy years old boy, who likes to play re game.

My breath hitched in my chest. The urge to panic was rising, a familiar anxiety crackling beneath my skin like lightning. I swallowed it down and tried to regulate my breathing. Outside the window - which I vaguely noted was covered in boards - wind and rain beat against the side of the building. If nothing else, I could recognize the sound of a hurricane.
