"You had what?"

"Shh Sapphire. Is the whole restaurant supposed to hear you?"

"On the couch?"

"Really?"

"People sit on that Gem."

"Sapphire!"

Giving a dry and hoarse chuckle, Sapphire reached for my face and cupped my cheek right before hitting it with a small but sharp slap.

"Of course the whole restaurant's supposed to hear," she whispered. "This is huge."

"I know I know," I said embarrassingly. "But just shut up okay?"

Sapphire and rolled her eyes with a smile and took a sip out of her wine. "Sure."

She decided to visit the side of town that was closer to where Axel and I lived in full 'incognito' mode.

That led to the cloth that was on her head and tucked behind her ears and the thick sunglasses she wore... indoors.

"Okay look," she choked out. "Consent is cute and all but I have news. Not as jaw dropping as yours...but it's news."

"I'm listening."

"Well," she dramatically slid her glasses of to look me straight in the eye. "My diamond jar is full."

"What?"

"Right?" She said as she smiled so widely that her eyes were submerged in to her cheeks.

"Sapphire that's huge!"

"Right?"

"You've gotta give me more than that."

"I just...I just don't know what to say. I spent the past week crying my eyes off because I can't believe it's finally happening."

"I'm so happy for you. You have no idea."

"Thanks love but that was just a commercial break Gem," Sapphire said as she put her sunglasses back on. "We're back to you now."

"Wh-no. This is entirely your moment."

"It's a piggy bank belonging to a star stripper, it was bound to get full some day. But you? Going down town? Willingly? God that's a whole different level of progress."

She was rubbing my palms against my cheeks. "I'm so proud of you I'm gonna throw up."

"Enough with the face," I swerved away from her grip.

"I'll get ya eventually."

I smiled at her but it's like my gaze trailed off quickly because she was snapping her fingers at me.

"Hey. Hey."

I batted my lashes and looked at her, her expression worried.

"Uh uh."

"What?" I smiled weakly.

"There's something else isn't there? You've got that look again."

"What look?"

"The look you wouldn't have on after having a great you know... sesh."

"Wh-no. No it was a great...sesh."

"Are you sure the sesh was good?"

"Can we please stop saying sesh?"

"Can you answer my question?"

"Yes I'm sure it was good. It was great."

"But?"

"But...Axel's moving to Tokyo next week."
