You awaken to the sound of sizzling eggs and the aroma of pancakes, you quickly sit up and look outside the window. You smile.
No matter what has happened in the past [ahem yesterday] your willing to grow from it. You roll out of the bed and run down the steps, into the kitchen. Seeing your dad and Anna. You raise a brow and frown.
"Y/n, sit down." Your dad smiles and you slowly walk over to sit at the island. "Yes?" You ask looking at Anna and your Dad.
He says nothing but slides over pancakes and tea. "what is all of this for?" You ask and he clears his throat sitting down.
"I've heard from Anna's parents, that you've both had a fight." He says glancing at Anna. You dramatically cough and drink your tea. "Y/n is this the reason why Anna hasn't been staying here?" He asks raising a brow.
"Yes, it was her decision." You lean back in your seat, looking at Anna. "Even if it was her decision, you just decide to not let me know? I am her guardian on this trip!" He slightly raises his voice.
You say nothing and slouch, "what happened between the two of you? You used to be best friends!" He frowns. "Are you sure we were actually 'best friends' Anna? Or was I just some girl you were staying with." You stare at Anna and she looks down.
Your dad laughs and you and Anna raise a brow. "What's so funny?" You ask your dad. "Did you seriously kick her out because she said that?" He laughs once more and you nod, not understanding what's wrong with that.
"Y/n your wrong in this situation too, you don't kick her out because of something she said, you talk about it. Talk about why she thinks your just somebody that she stays with." Your dad says, and you fidget with your fingers.
"And you, Anna. It was very wrong of you to ditch her and say such a thing like that!" Your dad says to Anna and she slowly nods looking down like a puppy being scolded.
"This relationship is very unhealthy. If you want to throw away years of friendship so be it! But don't ruin this summer for all of us!"Your dad frowns.
"Anna your staying with us, end of discussion." Your dad says and walks away.
I knew these pancakes were suspicious, you say in your head, eating your pancakes.
Your dad walks back over and demands you to grab the mail. You sigh and walk out the front door, you headed toward the mail box and you grab all of the mail. As you walk toward the house you notice an envelope fall from your hands, you go to pick it up but the name on it catches your eye.
"WAIT OH MY GOD." You bolt inside screaming. "WHAT HAPPENED??" your dad asks, "nothing." You put the letter behind your back and hand him a stack of chain letters and bills. You take a few deep breaths and run upstairs into your room.
