Chapter 3

I realised that sitting here saying how bad I feel for Nate was pathetic, I never say anything nice to him or about him, and I'm always complaining about how much of a burden he is.

After spacing out for what seemed like hours, I looked at my watch to see that class started in 5 minutes.

"GUYS, class starts in 5 minutes!" I suddenly cried out.

"First of all Julie, since when were you super into class, and second of all we have a free period" Frank responded, almost as if he was concerned for me.

"Damn you're lucky, but I have to go, McGonagall is spilling the big assignment, that's worth 50% of our grade!"

I rushed out of the room. Luckily, McGonagall's classroom is near the Gryffindor towers, otherwise I never would've made it.

I walked into the classroom to realise the only free seat was next to Nate, I rolled my eyes and walked towards the front of the classroom and sat down.

I tried to focus on McGonagall's voice and focus in class, but Nate was just sitting there staring at me. All I could do was ignore him.

By the time Mcgonagall was finished, she mentioned a group project, i immediately thought that was the best news ever as I had a few friends in this class that I could be paired with. I was about to get up and move to one of the girls' tables when the professor mentioned that your partner is the person you are sitting next to. I wondered why I was the unlucky one. Why did I have to be stuck with the spawn of satan?

"Well, how lucky are you Judy?" Nate said with a sheepish grin on his face.

"First of all its Juliana, second I'm not lucky at all, i would rather have been paired with that kid that always picks his nose than you" i replied back, i was done with this guys crap.

"Woah harsh" he sarcastically said. "So when are we meeting up to do this project, i say 8pm tonight, we can get some dinner then we can spend the rest of the night doing our project in my dorm, what do you say, you in?"

"Hell no, we'll meet in the library at the end of the day, and go from there"

At this moment in time i wished i just stayed with my friends.
