Tord's Lover

Chapter Five

It has been thirty minutes since the boys arrived at Tord's and his mysterious roommates mansion and they were retelling the numerous amount of adventures that they went on. Matt was just about to tell once when a white haired male walked into the house with an irritated look on his face.

"Lincoln? Did they call you again?" Tord said with some irritation.

"Yep. They won't give up." Lincoln said as he sat down across from Edd, Tom and Matt. 

"So..you're the roommate that Tord mentioned?" Edd said.

"Yes. I'm Lincoln Loud." Lincoln said with a smile. The boys each introduced themselves before Tom noticed something strange with Tord. He was blushing and seemed like he was in love with him and it seemed like Lincoln was the same way. It almost like they....

Tom was taken out from his thoughts when Lincoln asked if they wanted pizza for dinner. He will ask them about it later, but for now..he had to keep a close eye on Tord and Lincoln. At the same time, a little girl walked through her house with a smile on her face. 

"Hi Mom! Hi Dad!" The girl said.

"Hi sweetie. How was your day at school?" Her mother asked.

"It was fine, but I heard people say that some of the others are still talking about getting Ronnie Anne and Lincoln together." The girl said.

"Again?! We keep telling them to let Lincoln chose his own partner, but it's like it goes out one ear and out the other." The father said.

"Calm down, Lynn. You already have so much stress about the restaurant and I don't want our girl's stupidity to add onto it." The mother said.

"You're right, Rita. It's just that the girls keep thinking that Ronnie Anne and Lincoln are supposed to be together so when they heard that Lincoln got together with Tord..." Lynn started to say before sighing.

"I get it. We did manage to get through to some of them, but some are still being too stubborn for their own good. Besides you, Lily since you instantly accepted it." Rita said.

"He's my big brother and the one who actually bothered to spend some time with me in other activities other than shopping. Besides, Tord's good for him." Lily said.

"We think that too. We made so many mistakes in the past with your brother and we want to support him in any way possible to make up with it. Besides, it's thanks to Tord that we managed to get a good relationship with him." Lynn said. Lily was about to say something before Lola walked inside with Lana following behind her.

"Lola, you need to calm down and..." Lana said.

"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! I'm sick of all of these calls and texts from Lori about getting Lincoln and Ronnie Anne to get together. Sure, I was all for it, but eventually I saw that it was only Lori's delusions. Now thanks to that mistake, Lori still calls and texts about plans to get them together and it's driving me crazy." Lola said before heading upstairs. 

"So, guess things haven't been going well with Lola." Rita asked.

"Sigh...you know how Lori is and how obsessed she can be. So since Lincoln revealed his relationship, she lost her mind. Now we're getting calls and texts from Lynn, Lori and Lisa. Though in Lisa's case, she may be pretending to be on their side to gain information." Lana said.

"I can see that. Anyway, we better get ready for their usual phone calls." Lynn said which caused Rita to groan in irritation. She wondered why some of her girls were being too hung up on Ronnie Anne and Lincoln getting together. She talked about it many time with the Casagrande's and Santiago's and they didn't have any idea either. As she did, Rita noticed the exhausted expression on her son in law's face. So she pulled him aside and talked to him....leading to a memory that she will ever forget.

Bobby was sitting on the living room couch with some coffee that she made for him. When she handed it to him, she noticed how he seemed completely done with the world. A sight that honestly startled her cause he worked so hard for his family. 

"Bobby, is something bothering you?" She asked. Bobby didn't say anything for a moment, but after a couple of minutes...he finally answered.

"Yes. Look, I love Lori...I really do, but...." Bobby started to say before she cut him off.

"Her obsession with making Lincoln date Ronnie Anne is making things complicated." Rita said. Bobby nodded which caused Rita to sigh. What was she going to do with that girl? 

"I tell her every time that they're just friends and that they don't love each other, but...it doesn't amount to anything. It's like she doesn't hear what I just said and keeps making up these plans to make him date her." Bobby started to say.

"I understand. In the past, she was never like this. Sure, she wanted them to date back then, but it was never a big issue. It wasn't until he introduced Tord that this obsession started to become uncontrollable." Rita said.

"I met Tord and he's a good man. Sure, he was obsessed with guns, but other than that...he is a good partner to Lincoln. Why can't she see that?" Bobby said. 

"It's too much sometimes. It's like she doesn't see reality and just sees what she wants to see. Which makes me question if she and the others will ever see reason." Rita said. Bobby sighed and placed his head in his hands. He stayed silent for a couple of minutes before he started to speak again.

"I don't know if I can take much more of this. It's already causing a rift in our marriage and I'm afraid if this keeps going...we may end up having to divorce." Bobby said. Rita felt conflicted hearing that. One part of her didn't want that for her daughter while the other felt like divorce would be best. 

"I won't tell you what is best, but know that we would understand. Lori and the others probably wouldn't, but...those of us who see how much you're struggling do." Rita said. Bobby smiled at her and hugged her which caused Rita to give him a small smile.

Ring! Ring!

The sound of the phone caused this memory to slowly fade from her mind. As she looked at the caller ID...she sighed. Looks like it's time for another round of phone calls.

As she answered the call, she secretly hoped that this madness would be done soon. However...she underestimated the determination of Lori and the sisters who followed her lead.
