4. Shitty Morning

You barely got any sleep last night due to that phone call that kept replaying in your head. There's no way it could've been a prank call, nobody else calls you those nicknames. Well, Sidney only knows about the nicknames, not Randy. Concerning...

Your alarm goes off and you aggressively punch the alarm with anger. "Dumb fucking life" you say to yourself. The alarm continues going off so you get more angrier and grab Sidney's hammer that she uses for emergency repairs and you start smashing the alarm.

"SHUT! THE! FUCK! UP!!" You scream. Hallie comes in with wide eyes. You stop smashing the alarm as soon as you hear the door creak open. She slowly walks over to you and takes the hammer gently and puts it down. She hugs you as you cry quietly. "Bad mornings, Hal...bad mornings.." you whisper. "Shh..I know..it happens.." she pulls out the hug gently and puts her hands on each side of your cheeks. "Did something happened?" She asked with concern.

Should you tell her? You hesitate for a couple of seconds. "No..I'm just tired, that's all..." she nods with a little smile and goes over to grab a plastic bag and you help her pick up the pieces to your alarm. "How are you going to wake up in the morning now?" She asked. "I'll buy a new one, that was like 20 bucks" you reply. "Please don't tell Sid I used her hammer when I lost my temper" you plead.

"I won't. I don't even tell people when I'm having a temper so you're good, hun" she smiled. You both laugh a little. "Maybe the sorority girls party will help calm that nerve" she said. "Hal, I-" "you and Sidney say the same thing, 'iM nOt LiKe tHe oThEr sOrOiTyS', it's fineee! It's just a party! Besides, staying in a dorm room all day? WOO! It's hot as shit in here, darling!" You laugh uncontrollably at Hallie's words.

"You're right, I'll go" "that's my girl!!" She takes your hand and runs you both out the dorm. "We're going to go meet up with Sidney at the breakfast cafe, okay?" You nod and follow Hallie.

You guys see Sidney sitting with Derek, Mickey, and Randy. You hurry and go grab some breakfast then sit down next to Mickey. He looks you up and down with a weird ass smile. You then look at Sidney. Shit. You weren't sure if you should tell her what happened last night. You sigh and start eating feeling Mickeys eyes on you. You feel uncomfortable and look at him catching him staring at you and he quickly looks away.

Sidney and Hallie looked confused. Randy clears his throat to stop the silence. "So! What's new?" He asked crossing his arms and looking at you guys. You put your fork down and look at Hallie who smiles to comfort you. You look down. "Well...they're still trying to catch the killer" Mickey said. Everyone looks at him basically saying 'dude, we're trying to fucking eat.' He raises his eyebrows and shrugs.

Something is off about him. You continue eating your food while staying very quiet. You startle by your little mobile phone buzzing. You look at it for a second then pull it out. Unknown caller. Mickey then leans his head over to you. "You better answer it" he said with a creepy tone. You shake your head. "N-No...I think it can wait.."

It's probably a prank caller. Yeah. It has to be. It can't be Billy. He was shot in the head. That's where a lot of lives end. The head. Maybe.
