sick of seventeen

First day

Me and my group of best friends are balling with excitement just as the final bell of school rang. Already texting each other in our shared group chat even though me and Fiona share the last period.

We catch up mid way in the school hallways to go and get some boba as we planned earlier.

We sat on a stool in a playground near our school where kids and teenagers perform several activities.

"look at how hot these boys are" Fiona said nudging me, indeed they were so fine but one boy in particular caught my attention, he had brown hair, nice features and looked a bit asian, he was riding a skateboard with his headphones on, I admired him the whole time we were there.

Time passed and it was time for us to go back to our homes to get ready for the second day of school.

When I got home and was finally in my comfy clothes tugged in my bed, all that came to my thoughts was the skateboard boy, I couldn't stop thinking about him all night staring at the ceiling, And there I knew damn well I just got myself a crush.

Next day of school happened and when i was at lunch brake with the girls suddenly the boy I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday was right in front of me "wait isn't that the skateboard boy" Fumiko asked "it's, i swear i was just thinking of him" I said feelings like its destiny "is it destiny?" I asked right after "get out of your fantasies Raven" Jane said knowing damn well I'm going to drift away behind illusions since she have known me the longest.

Right then I made eye contact with the skateboard boy and my heart skipped a beat I never knew an eye contact could do so much to me.

I broke eye contact with him and looked at the girls screaming from the inside whisper yelling "HE LOOKED AT ME", like how girls react when their celebrity crush looks at them.

Two weeks went by with me being obsessing over the skateboard boy from afar, Since I didn't have the gut to make any move, skateboard boy was so out of my lead.

I finally decided to make a move not telling the girls since they know my crush is harder than being with him, Im more to be called obsessed right now.

Mike always goes to the playground at Thursday noons so I figured I'll go make my first move today, Its not like I was stalking him, It just was easy to figure out.

I went to the playground on Thursday noon and just like I expected he was right there playing with his skateboard, I sat down at my usual spot acting like Im occupied with the drink in my hands but I actually couldn't take my eyes off of him.

I then started getting second thoughts if I really should do this or just stick to being a chicken.

I kept watching him failing a couple of tricks and nailing the others admiring his every move.

I think I was looking at him for way too long cause he started coming my way, I freaked out and started to sweat thinking how to run right now without embarrassing myself, I couldn't.

"hey" he said "I've noticed you here a couple of times" I played it cool saying "yeah i like to chill around" "so you dont play any activity" he asked.

fuck what am I supposed to say? No I just come to watch you like a creep? "ah no i just.. chill" i think I just successfully embarrassed myself in front of him.

He replied with "yeah ok" and then turned around, No the fuck not im not ruining my chance "whats your name?" I asked even though I know his name already, "me? Im mike"

I like his name even more now that he said it to me, Damn I've already started to imagine being called Mike's wife.

"and you are" he asked snapping me out of my thoughts "im Raven" I said with an awkward hand gesture "see you at school Raven" he said, "yeah see you then" i smiled shyly, wait he remembers me from school? Shit what if he noticed that I've been watching him, Cant wait for the next school day I guess.
