╭┈──── ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ "SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, shit, shit!” Ziggy muttered under her breath, that breath quickly running out as she rushed through the forest around Camp Nightwing. Every few seconds she would look behind her, try to see if they were still chasing her, and every time she would look back in front, her hair would whip her in the face. But with that and her lungs burning with overuse, there was really a lot more to worry about.

Her feet continued to dig under tree roots, crunch through the fallen leaves and fasten ever so slightly once she saw the edge of the woods. If she got out into the open, they couldn’t get her, they wouldn’t dare, then she could get back to her cabin. But that wasn’t going to happen when she looked behind her once more, but instead of her hair whipping back into her face, she collided with an steadfast arm.

Ziggy’s whole body shot out from under her, back hitting the forest floor with a slam, the impact echoing through her bones. She let out a small groan, the woods blurring in and out around her, and she could feel a hot liquid dripping down her nose to her top lip. She lifted a shaky hand up to it, blinking in the brightening sunlight above her, red blood staining her fingertips. Ravens cawed in her ears, the trees spinning around her as she dropped her hand back down to her side, raising her head ever so slightly to test she could, only to find the exact people she had been running away from standing right in front of her.
