Timeline in teyvat: A little after Lumine and Paimon have encountered Venti and Stormterror, Cale was found by the two of them in an unconsious state, a few steps away from the Dvalins tear. Basically where the slime would be located except there's no slime just a beautiful red head man. <3

Timeline in The birth of a hero : A few months after the terrorist attack, a few years (3 years) after Cale's dissapearance (Cale's soul dissapearing and his physical body being left in the cold without an owner).

"..." Zhao Yang, the God of the Vortex was tapping his finger against the wood and he was feeling the need to burst into laughter of all the Mortals faces.

The God hated Mortals, he hated them for no specified reason yet his Mother loved some of them.

It made no sense to the God.

Yet he could only stay in silence as his mother was giggling at how soft the hair of the red head was.

He was getting impatient, too.

His mother looked in a curious gaze of his sudden outburst and their eyes met.

"I mean i feel pity for the Mortal by the name of Cale, Thames i believe, who has to bear the worst mortals around him even though he fully knew they didn't give a single shit about him, yet he cared for them." Zhao Yang spat half of the words, it was directed to insulting them and some got angry at his words.

For everyone except the Henituse Family, possibly Ron Molan if you think of it... Eric Wheelsman... They were ones who were close to the Young master but at the same time not. But they still had a care for him in a way.

She giggled,

"Alright, then. Goodbye. " He raised his hands and then proceeded clapped twice with his hands again and the portrait of the Goddess and the Red head was now gone.
