An Introduction:
Where I'm From
I'm from the blur of the arcade lights as I spin around the beach
Mild night and exhilarating waves
Fried dough and the powdered sugar clotting on fingertips
I'm from the gossamer summer and the abrasive cold
From fresh mornings, sizzling midays, and painted skies
Laughing among the grass
Spinning in the gardens
I'm from everywhere where there are smiles and sun streaks
Running through the dewy forest of life
Spinning until it's just the wind and me
I do want to feel it all
I do want the world to stop and stare
my heart will become a firework show
it will explode a multitude of dazzling colors
The world was wide and I was looking for something unknown to embrace
I've never been in so much pain but I've also never felt that kind of love, I guess that's why I let it destroy me.
