What's the matter I inquire? Luna, Alyiah we were just informed by some of our warriors that they overheard Ryan saying something to her daughters about Alyiah, but it was muffled, and they couldn't make it all out. Damn-it my mother mumbled under her breath. Luna, would you like me to send word to the Alpha? No, we have warriors here inform them quietly I don't want a widespread panic. I need to talk to Alyiah about a few things. Miss Davis can you, Caleb, and Sarah carry Alyiah's gifts up to her room please? Yes, Luna, they reply. My mother and I head upstairs, and Camille start a mind link to the warriors about Ryna and her daughters. We reach my fathers office where my mother guides me to the bookshelf behind my father's desk she pulls out a book slightly and the shelf moves opening a secret passage. She pushes another button after we enter the passage and the door closes. She pulls out her cell phone and shakes it to turn on the light. She leads me to a room with a reinforced steel door to which she punches in a code. We enter to find a small bunker. Alyiah this is a safe room its soundproof and the cement blocks are reinforced also. We can talk in here. I look around and my eyes finally meet hers again. Mom, why did you bring me all the way here? Why couldn't we just talk in my room? My mom looks at me and takes my hand. Alyiah, I don't know where to start. Mom, just start its ok I'm listening. Ok, she inhales a breath. About 35 years ago your father and I lived here, and we had both graduated. My father was the assistant to the Alpha which was your grandfather. Anyway, I was an Omega born to a lower class, she continues. It's not like the other packs though where omegas are born into slavery. In the Mountain Peak Pack your grandfather declared that we may have different titles, but we are all family. Back on track, one day I was walking into town as I often did, and a group of girls from school jumped me. Around that time your father and a few of his friends were driving past and saw the fight. I didn't think they were going to stop but they did, and they all got out of the car. They strolled over and the girls left, but not before beating me almost unconscious. Your father and his friends saved my life that day. The main girl in the fight was Ryna. I shake my head, but why mom? I don't understand. Because when your father went to pick me up that day to carry me to their car our wolves chose each other as mates and at that time he was dating her. Ewe...I exclaimed and made a fake puking sound. My mother nods, then adds I feel the same, but she's been a thorn in our sides ever since. My mom puts her head in her hands and starts to sob, I didn't know that our wolves were going to choose each other. It's ok mom, I reply. She looks at me and says, lets head back to your room and set stuff out for tomorrow. Its going to be a long day.
