7:00 am, Tuesday, 5th of April 2022.

I woke up again after falling asleep after the strange and frightening dream I had last night. I looked at my watch and got ready for the day. I was still anxious and on edge, but I was better. I took a deep sigh as I walked out the door, locking the door behind me.

*12:30 pm same day*

"Hey Ruby, how are you?" I beamed while walking up to Her. My dream still haunted me, but it was just that, a dream.

"Yeah, I am ok thanks," She half smiled while shrugging, but her eyes seemed sorrowful. I lost my smile as I watched her unfocused eyes and she seemed distant. I nodded, not pushing as I only know her fairly well and didn't want to intrude on her privacy. "The rest except for Jordan are on the way, He is sick I think." I nodded and we went into silence. We hung out for the rest of the break together, talking about basic subjects, like how our classes were going and our assessment this term. We went our separate ways once the bell went for the next classes.

*11:15 am same day*

I saw an all too familiar blackness, it was around me in a never-ending room. My eyes adjusted as I looked around the room, and there I saw Jordan standing there. There was colour slowly draining into the room, and then I realised where I was, Jordan's work, a fast-food burger shop. He was standing behind a bench, looking down at a screen below a counter, under a sheet of clear glass, which read 8:30 pm, Friday, 15th of April 2022. The store was empty of customers, although there were 2 other employees. I heard a loud crash and looked around to my left and saw a large silver van crash into a window breaking glass, and several large men with black ski masks came marching forcibly in, one carrying a handgun. The men walked up to Jordan, who now was alert. His head was up from the screen, his hands were up in the air and his eyes were wide.

"Give me all of the money you have." The frontman yelled; he pointed the gun at Jordan. "We have no cash, we don't only have online transactions," Jordan said softly. Still hands in the air. I looked around the shop, yelling, but nothing came out of my mouth. I saw another employee, a tall and largely built boy, with brown skin, brown eyes, and curly brown hair, slowly make his way to a phone which was located on a far white wall. The gunman once he heard the employee move, shifted his focus to him,

"Don't call anyone or I'll shoot everyone." He yelled. The third person, a woman, had a phone out, frantically typing, "I said I'll shoot." The woman already pressed the call. The masked man began to panic, he held the handgun tighter.

"I'll shoot you; I will shoot all of everyone." He yelled, He shifted on his feet slightly. Everyone froze. The shooter shot at Jordan almost points blank. I moved without even thinking, moving in front of Jordan," Jordan!" I yelled trying to get his attention, he looked me in my eyes, his eyes terrified, but the bullet passed through me like I was a ghost. I fell, and I kept falling until I hit my head on the pillow, gasping, I woke up in a cold sweat, wide awake and scared..... This felt too real not to be true. I checked my phone, seeing that it was 5 a.m., but I was wide awake, I had no chance of getting back to sleep. I went downstairs, wrote down notes of what happened in my dream, and started my day, although I was consistently distracted by the traumatising dream I had last night. My mum came down at a quarter past 6 and asked me if I had another nightmare, to which I nodded, but I knew it wasn't just a nightmare. I went to school early after I got changed and ready for school, and asked Ruby, Jordan, James, and Mellisa to join me next Friday for dinner. Jordan reluctantly came as he had a shift but gave in once I said we will have Pizza.
