*Dream*
I saw a familiar black, endless room. It was too dark for my eyes to be able to make out the identity of the person in the middle. The scene slowly turned into dull colours like what happened when I dreamt about Jordan. Then I could see the person, James. He was in a car on a long, busy road. James was looking down at his phone in the front passenger seat, I saw the date and time at the top: 8:32 am, Monday, 1st of May 2022. They came to a stop at a set of lights, there were 2 schools on the 2 opposite curbs, a private, catholic all-girls high school, and a co-ed public primary school. The curb on the opposite side of the road covers all of the cars when parked up to the white line and the other side only comes halfway protecting the car up to its back doors. A bright red truck came speeding on the wrong side of the road, ran into the passenger side door, and rolled over the car, bending and breaking it off and breaking the window with the shockwaves. There was smoke coming out of the red truck's hood and tires as the driver, who was high, tried to stop in time. I yelled and ran towards the car, I was 100 metres away, although it felt like 100 kilometres and several hours as I ran. I stepped over the glass, and bits of the door and looked inside. On the ground was James, he had a major laceration to his forehead, arms, and legs. I watched as people surrounded the car minutes later, people calling triple zero, they all seemed curious and scared. Ambulances, Police, and fire trucks (fire trucks as it was a large accident). James woke up briefly coughing painfully, complaining about the loss of feeling in the lower half of his body, but he could move his arms. James' Father, who was behind the wheel, was shaken and had bruises and minor cuts on his hands, face, and legs from the broken glass and hitting the steering wheel at high speed. The scene cut out as the ambulance people took James carefully to the hospital board and the father came for a check-up, he was crying while getting into the Ambulance. At the hospital, X-rays, CT scans, and symptoms confirmed he had L1 to L2 Paraplegia. This means there is Plegia in the lower half of his body meaning; a lack of control of his bowels and bladder, inability to walk, chronic pain, infections, and sexual difficulties. As James, his parents, siblings, and other close family listened, some cried, some were confused, and some were blank. The scene slowly faded out.
*End of dream*
I woke up confused but knowing this was another premonition. I knew I had to act quickly as this event was due to happen this Monday. I wrote what happened to remember all of the details, scared I may mess up saving him and if there was anyone else, I needed to save in the future. I quickly texted James as I revised a plan to save him, I worked out I could get my Mum and me to pick James up from his house as it was on his way. James agreed to let me pick him up, although he was confused as it was out of the blue. I made up the excuse to talk about homework on the way and have a homework session at the library half an hour's walk to school. I put the phone down and tried to continue sleeping, although I couldn't because of the disturbing details of the dream I just had.
