The Camping Trip: A Jori Story

Another Campfire

Robbie just about fell off his log he was sitting on when he saw Tori and Jade walk up to the campfire with Jade's arm wrapped over Tori's shoulder.

"Am I seeing things right now?" asked Robbie, blinking a few times

Cat squealed, "Ahhhhh!! Oh my goodness are you two dating?!"

Beck started laughing, "Cat, you're hilarious"

"Why am I hilarious?" asked Cat, confused, "What's that supposed to mean, Beck?"

Beck stammered, "Oh just cause that's a funny thought to think that Jade and Tori would date, that's all"

"Well grab some popcorn and get ready for the 'comedy' cause it's happening" retorted Jade, sitting down with Tori right at her side

Andre looked at them, happily

Beck shook his head in confusion, "Wait, what?"

Jade furrowed her brows, "Do I have to spell it out for you? We're dating. Me and Tori are dating"

Beck stared for a second and Andre said, "It's okay, buddy, take your time"

Beck stuttered, "I guess I'm just confused...wait you girls are actually dating?"

Jade looked at him incredulously and with a bit of amusement dancing in her blue eyes as well 

She nodded, "Do you need proof? We can do that, right Tori?"

Tori's eyes flickered to Jade's lips, "Yeah, we can definitely do that"

"No, it's okay, I believe you" said Beck

Rex who was sitting on Robbie's lap said, "No! I need proof! Girls, I don't believe you, hehe!"

"Rex, that is so not okay" Robbie groaned

Cat added, "Rex, that's so inappropriate"

Jade said, shortly "Robbie, I will throw you and your muppet in the campfire tonight if you keep it up"

Robbie gestured to Rex, "What? It was him! Not me!"

Beck stood up, "Will you guys excuse me for a second? I just need a moment"

Andre asked, concerned, "You're sure you're good, man?"

Beck nodded, "Yeah, totally. I just am gonna take a quick walk before I gather up the firewood for tonight"

Once Beck wandered off, Andre sat forward with his hands together and exclaimed, "So, spill the tea!"

"What happened out there?" asked Robbie

"Yay" Cat added, happy-as-could-be

"Well, we talked about our feelings and we worked it out" said Tori

Jade raised her eyebrows, "That's the very simplified version"

"Well, you know what I mean!" Tori sighed

Jade grabbed her chin and turned Tori's face to hers, "I do, baby"

"Awww!" gushed Cat

"Do more of that!" Rex shouted which in turn caused Jade to lean over and smack Rex out of Robbie's hand. Rex fell face-first on the dirt and leaves

"Oh come on, Jade! Stop messing with Rex" groaned Robbie, picking up the dummy and wiping off the yuck on his face

Jade refuted, sassily, "Tell your little puppet to stop sexualizing me and my girlfriend"

Andre sighed, "Jade please-"

"Did you have something you wanted to say?" Jade asked, shortly

Andre winced, "No, I don't! I'm gonna go find Beck!"

"No, Andre stay here" sighed Tori

"Okay" Andre squeaked, sitting back down by Robbie and Cat

Tori gave Jade a look and Jade sighed, "Fine, I'll behave. But only for a little bit"

Tori offered, "How about we all pick out some wood for the campfire together?"

Andre, Robbie and Cat murmured in agreement and the friends decided they'd go off together to find wood.

"Wait, what if Beck comes back here and wonders where we are?" asked Cat

"I'll send him a text so he knows what we're up to" said Andre, pulling out his PearPhone

Cat skipped along and said, gleefully, "Yay! I can't wait for more s'mores tonight!"

Robbie agreed, "Me either, the s'mores last night were incredible"

Jade whispered to Tori, "They do know s'mores aren't vegan right?"

Tori replied, "Probably not, but we'll let them believe that"

It had been only an hour later and it was already getting darker outside. There seemed to be no hard feelings between Beck and the girls. He was still a bit in shock over it but still supported them and the girls were beyond grateful for that
